Re: Replacement parts wish list

Ok, I made the Kubel parts and the MG42 + Mount for the 21C Tiger. Questions: If I make the Kubel windshield from clear resin, you'd have to paint the non-glass parts. If I made it from standard resin, you would have to attach a clear peice of plastic after painting to add the glass. Which option so...

Hey guys, Yes. I made a video showing how to put it all together: https://youtu.be/2yQWhGn3Beg I also made the Banana bumpers (thanks Slade!). They are $8 for anyone that already purchased the original kit and will be part of the standard kit going forward with a slight price increase to cover the a...

Also, since it won't be RC in this case I wonder what propellers it would need. Do you know?

Great find CK! VQ appears to have one in tri-color camo as well. I can't find it for a good price, yet. https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/49257751_676805096048137_66783339838701568_n.jpg?_nc_cat=107&_nc_oc=AQkikdXZrbIX8HQyhnebynfRbA-4E4GK2WrXiRXp1wyCoducRvOgpXNsJImvD1OpL9Y&_nc_ht=sconten...

Re: 1:18 Battleground Kettenkrad has returned

Awesome! I built one of your Kettenkrad kits years ago and it’s a really useful and versatile model working for just about everything from a recon vehicle to an artillery transport and even a late-war Luftwaffe aircraft tow vehicle 8) Do you still have photos of your build? I looked but the links w...

Small scale site running slow?

It seems like the site has been running slowly lately with pages taking 10-30 seconds to respond sometimes. Other times it runs fine. Or I get this error: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the se...

No worries CK! In a way we are all in this together. :-)

The model seems finished and it looks great. I wonder if some would still be interested given the additional details like the metal barrel?

Replacement parts wish list

I made a replacement barrel for the BBI Sherman and it worked out pretty well. That got me thinking that there might be other commonly broken or lost parts for other 1:18 items I might be able to make. Is there anything you wish you had a replacement or extras of and wouldn't mind of they weren't OE...

Re: Battleground.com store is open

Hi Joey, Yes. I did the CAD for the M6 Fargo 37mm a while back but wasn't every able to find definitive photos that showed how the gun mounted to the pedestal so I put it on pause. https://imgur.com/G9sFqSb.png https://imgur.com/5eFDjra.png I've since gotten some new books that might do the trick. A fellow named Chris who created an account here under sdcc73 hasn’t ever been able to log on to small scale. Could aferg or P51 or someone help him? I’ve sent you his info via PM.

Re: July new items from Battleground - Long post

The overriders on the bumpers should be narrow crescent shapes; the nickname for them was 'banana bumpers' if that helps. The ones on the Maisto are the later style from the early 1950s. Gotcha, I will see if I can't add a bumper to the next version of the kit. Would it be easier to leave in the ve...

Re: July new items from Battleground - Long post

Thank you for the feedback guys. For the VW, the air vents pop out with a push so I can putty the holes. The bumper I could make a new version of, the stock on pops off. I can't quite see the differences though. Is it the two larger moon shaped fins? Eddy, as for the Kar 98k, this is what i used as ...
