I am hoping that the MD blowout prices will get some new people into the hobby who will support our retailer friends like Corey as they try to fill in gaps they couldn't find at MD. All depends on what additional stock will be available and from whom over the next year or two. I have a feeling that ...

Pickelhaube's attic = 21st Century's OTHER warehouse. At this point, I suspect it's fuller, too!

My set arrived yesterday and is already the talk of the office among the history fans at work (I had them shipped to the office). Of course, my assistant just gave me the look "here we go again, more toys." Oh well. At least no one complains when I go home, and kind of hard for people to complain at...

Mine is hanging over the TV in the living room with a P-38 escort. Sad part is the P-38 is a Pacific paint scheme and the Avenger is Atlantic, but only people on this board would ever notice that!

OK, I am blaming peer pressure :D

I just ordered a pair of Panthers plus a couple 1/32 pieces for a coworker and the total was $100 shipped - Just a single Panther would be about that with shipping most places!

The big thing with the Microman figures (especially thinking back to when they were sold as Micronauts here in the US) is that they are a bit "slimmer" and a lot more articulated than the standard 1/18 action figures. But that bike IS tempting, even if just for static display as a "backdrop" for fig...

WTB: 1/32 FOV 2.5 ton cargo truck

Hey guys, While I am normally a 1/18 collector, there are some pieces that obviously aren't going to happen anytime soon. I am trying to find the FOV 1/32 deuce-and-a-half. I don't really care about spending the extra $25-$35 for an Enthusiast edition - Action grade is fine, if they are out there. I...

I thought the smoke was one of those features that came on the upgrade version? Seriously though, that sucks - I hope you can get it resolved and replaced quickly and with minimum headaches. If it makes you feel any better, when I ran a TV/appliance store back in the 90's, we had a RCA 52" big scree...

Uh-oh! Aferg found the "zoom" button on the photocopier and is getting ideas! The idea IS intriguing, though!

Of course, that would create the need for some German sailors, and perhaps a PT boat (especially for those without an Avenger to display with it).

I agree with Folkwulfe. I have more than a few planes that I would be able to part with pretty readily - ones I picked up mainly to make sure a particular model was represented in my collection, but not favorite planes by any means. On the other hand, there are some planes that have very special mea...

the Me-262 nightfighter was tempting at $39.95, but I have no clue where I'd put it!

I have a few that I could and would part with under those conditions... I wouldn't really miss my P-47 or FW-190D9. On the other hand, you will have to pry my P-38 or Me-262 from my cold, dead hands.

hey, if Larry Flynt is willing to make a pitch for the adult entertainment industry, then we should give it a shot, too. I mean, we can make a lot of the same arguments - 1) educational, 2) entertaining, 3) protecting a historically significant era (ok, that one's a stretch, but hey), and 4) subject...

hmmm.... I could think of some cool supernatural customs that could be done with these, like a return of Flight 19 from the "other side" or some of the ghostlier stories from GI Combat comics, like a phantom Sherman and crew.

To set the record straight, my Madoff comment was not directed at The Motor Pool or any other on-line retailer.
