Forced update to my modest display

One of the anchors securing the top shelf of my display pulled out of the wall, so I had to relocate the shelf. After the fact, I think it worked out for the best. Note: No XD was injured as a result of the anchor failure. 8) Anyway, so here it is. Before: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y184/flpic...

Well, if they expect to use the Stryker in an urban evironment, they better get used to losing em. Hamster cage or not. While they may be more "fill in the bank" than an LAV-25(which is only one of 7 variants the Marines use), they're still inadequate outside of a cross country recon role. I did my ...

Rotate the turret 90 degrees from front and it'll just lift right out. As for installing a figure? You'll either need to turn your gunner into a quadruple amputee, or use the jeep driver from the original 21C release.

I dunno. I find the Stryker concept in and of itself terribly redundant. Just another example of the Army trying(badly) to duplicate a tool used by the Marine Corps. If they thought it was such a good idea, they probably should have stuck with the same general specs the Marines used. That or perhaps...

Gut the RC Panzer. As for not being able to fit full figures, all you have to do is remove the tubs underneath the hatches(hull and turret). http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y184/flpickupman/Small%20Scales/P1010897.jpg You can see my Ausf G in the back. I cut the trench coat off right around the wai...

Hey Guys , I have so many things that I want to do and this project is one of them. For starters, I really like the looks of the command vehicle . That large aerial on top talks to me.I am not sure of doing the radio inside of it. Just the aerial on top. I would do it with mounting clips that just ...

See? You already have the solution. Your new shipping address is now the office. That's what I had to do with the DAK bubbas and 88 I just ordered. Money is tight, but I couldn't let the 88 get away at such a low price. With the state of our hobby, I figure the 88 will likely situate me for q...

I'm no photography expert, but you want the 1/18 scale item in the foreground.

As for being able to have them both in focus? Perhaps you can try manual focus. Ultimately, it comes down to your camera having the capability.

Google up forced perspective. That may be the track you're looking for.

I've heard mixed reviews regarding Hen Long tanks (which these are). The drivetrain has been improved, and that should go a long way towards maintaining reliability. I'm not sure how well the metal link tracks hold up to wear and tear, but it's a non-issue ultimately since rubber tracks are included...

If I didn't already have 2 Panzer IV DAK repaints, I'd be all over that. Maybe I'll try to pick up a dead one for giggles and see how it looks.

That along with the unloaded suspension height takes something away from an otherwise good piece.

I wonder if anoyone has ever tried to monkey out correcting the suspension?

Man. It is a damn shame these are all 1/16. That Panzer III looks really tempting.

If I figure correctly, the 1/16 Panzer III would actually be a tad longer than the 1/18 Panzer IV. Guess that won't work.
