I would definitely get one, but honestly: Wouldn't it be great if they - BBI, JSI, All-Go or even Admiral - produced more modern US Air Force birds? We already have NAVY/MARINE F/A-18s and F-14s, but only one modern representative of the US Air Force (F-16). A-10s and F-4s aside, what about F-117s,...

Eh, whatever it is i know i trust my Bbi to survive a hard landing far more than i than i do my 21st stuff. It also taught me not to overpay for these things. Same here. There is definitely a difference in the feel of the plastic used on the Cobra compared to BBI's Apache/Kiowa, et al. BBI's produc...

This new company has to start up with what they have. So this means that 21C tooling on some of the products is part of a bigger plan to move ahead onto all new molds. But everyone should know by now that repaints on any and all aircraft have to part of the picture. I can confirm, that bad or good ...

Re: SCUTTLE BUTT!

ive been doing alot of talking with importers and distributors lately heres what they are saying: 21C has been sending out cease and desist letters to the bigger estores. they are making the point that by selling JSI items they are violating copy right laws. 21c paid Lockheed Martin and others to r...

If JSI does decide to do a Strike Eagle, they will do well not to make the same mistakes as Dragon Models did for their 1/72 diecast SE Wrong or lack of armament that makes a SE a SE, tinted canopy, etc? If its a IDF camo scheme, the question from everyone will probably be if the paintjob will turn...

But you can't disagree that this is like the only different looking F15. Every F15 is gray with some squadron markings on it. I searched on Google Images "F15" and on the first 21 pages, the only different colored F15 was the experimental F15 (S/MTD maybe) When you talk about the F-15E base model (...

Thanks so much for posting the pic! This method is so simple!!! The Model Master Flat FS36440 Gull Grey is a dead on match and you can dab out the spots completely or hide them so that just a bit shows through. Just finished one of the rear elevators and it is awesome!!!! E-mail me if you have any ...

Hello all. New guy here that registered to talk about my experience with the JSI F-14. I just received it on Saturday night and naturally was pretty excited. I don't have many 1:18 scale items as I am mostly a GIJoe collector. But this was a gem I had to have. Before I pulled it out of the box I fo...

I doubt they had a live example from which to model from. Thanks to our stupidity in allowing Iran to fly a few the gov is pretty protective of any surviving tomcats out there, to the point of even pulling them from museums to make sure the airframes (tomcat's biggest problem) are junked & their ba...

I also believe we will see a S-2 F-14 too, despite the S-1 paint debacle. Too much money invested in development on that mold, and the fact is it was a paint issue, not a mold issue. The paint issue can be corrected. Totally agree with vulgarvulture on this. JSI has a lot already invested in the F-...

I hope we see JSI do the F-15. That would mean JSI hasn't shyed awayh from producing 1/18 scale modern jets. Especially after the F-14 issure. That can only mean increased hope of them turning out an A-10 down the road for me and others.... :D Not to mention a fully armed Strike Eagle, be it the aw...

i spoke to one of the person at merit ...that was what told to me.... So what does that actually mean to that one person? Does it mean that they are done with the planes all together? Does it mean that they are done with 1:18 all together? Does it actually mean that they are just not producing the ...

I think we'll get it. The model they showed off in Hong Kong earlier this year had the working intake ramps already implemented, and I don't think anyone was expecting that. At one point, some of us thought it was further along than the Tomcat, so who knows.

Have any of you guys used sakura micron pens? They offer a brush pen for $2, and I use that for weathering. I just use the brush pen and a tissue or napkin. Basically you brush on a generous amount of ink along and around the panel lines. Let it sit for just a bit, then wipe off with the tissue. You...

Question on Main Gear being angled. Sometimes it all depends on how you set it up. If you put the three pegs in correctly it stands up mostly straight. But you cannot really "roll it well on its gear" if you do you risk pulling the pegs out and when the pegs are out the landing gear is very flimsy....

I hope that the next release just comes sans spots. The way the spots are applied, it sounds like a layered process. It's cheaper to just skip the weathering process altogether and that works in our favor: Less work for JSI No spots/complaints about the paint job from us Win/Win situation and cheape...

I think everything is still the same for the most part, it's just that members are more vocal because we actually have something new released, and the item in question(F-14) wasn't expected especially in light of the recession and a year where we didn't see much new 1/18 stuff. So it's a mix of exci...
