1/32 JU-88 and HE-111 Kits at Hobbytown
Got to see the big 1/32 Pro Modeler kits of the Ju-88 and HE-111 at Hobbytown today. The JU-88 has a 22 1/2" span and the HE-111 has a 31" span. $49.99 and $79.99 for retails. The JU-88 dimensions seemed small but it's really not all that much bigger than an ME-110. The Heinkel would be impressive :!:

Re: Ever just freaking lose interest in your stuff?
Good for you :!: I dumped baseball cards back in the 1990's and never looked back. No regrets at all. :) I do have historical ties to this hobby though so I'm more careful in my decisions. No baseball player is a hero to me, but those WWII Veterans I know, yes! Just lost another one this weekend. Ve...

Re: Ever just freaking lose interest in your stuff?
There are those in this hobby and others who suffer from "seller's regrets" :( and want to kick themselves later for parting with things they thought they had lost interest in only to start over again to re-aquire the stuff. Always tougher and more expensive the second time around. Seems it's always...

I guess some variation is better than the stiff 1/6 scale G.I. Joe types with every one having nearly identical size and body types. Only the heads seem to change. Can't help but think "clones" or "dolls" when I see them.

Re: So, I was considering crossing over into some 1/35...
I just picked up half a dozen Can-Do 1/35 German infantry figures at a Tuesday Morning store. They were only $1.99 so I couldn't resist and they are so much better detail than 21C or FOV 1/32. They are very much smaller. Before this, the only ones I bought were kneeling, crouching or sitting and loo...

Re: Am I Wrong? - *** BUY SELL TRADE IMPROVEMENT THOUGHTS **
I agree with Warbike. With the price of gas now, even driving a 60 mile round trip to get something costs almost as much as shipping. Shipping cost is a part of aquiring an item in demand that is not readily available in your local area. It also pays for convenience and having someone else do the tr...

The Razorback P-47 in the Motorworks box. The one with the checkered tale white #17. I left it alone for years but just recently got it out of the box and began tearing it apart to improve as much as possible. Scratch building new gear doors, lowering the front canopy profile at least half an inch t...

"Steel Rain" Waffen SS Panzer Battles in the West 1944-1945
Picked up this book at Ollies Outlet Store for $9.99. Being an airplane guy, I am still low on the learning curve in my interest about German armor. This book is awesome :!: What an education I am getting. My interest is the exact time period and place this book covers. I didn't realize how badly be...

Re: Am I Wrong? - *** BUY SELL TRADE IMPROVEMENT THOUGHTS **
I would really like to see a rule that when an item or items is listed in an ad, whether sold individually or as a lot, must have a stated asking price. If you have a list of items to be sold individually, each item should have an asking price or one stated price for the lot or a discount price if y...

Here are some additional requested photos of the 1/18 display at the Tri-State Warbird Museum, Batavia, Ohio. A couple of longer shots showing how high off the floor the planes hang as you come into the hanger through the door. http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj541/Axisnightmare/Planes%20and%20f...

Re: 1/32 Scale Desert Diorama
Those pictures, especially the black and whites could have come right out of a WWII publication about the Africa Corps and you would have had a hard time catching that they were models. You can really see how open those columns would have been to Allied air attack. Very real. Outstanding :!: ...

1/32 is certainly more bang for the buck. Tough to drop $35 on a 4" tank.

Would have been even cooler if it had been done in a sequence of an aerobatic 8 point sectional roll

I had not heard of Hobby-space until your post. I'm guessing most of the others haven't either as for why you're not getting replies.

Antique Mall Find
Found this little guy at an antique mall. I remember seeing some of thses at Walmart years ago. I didn't pay much attention to them. Thought these were 21st Century Toys but the box says New Millennium Toys. Looks too big for 1/48. What can you tell me about this? I apologize if this topic was cover...

Dragon Can Do 1/144 tanks at Ollies
"Ollies" outlet stores here in Cincinnati had some Dragon Can-Do 1/144 two packs of an M-1 Abrams and Bradley in at least three different schemes for $2.99. They also had some neat books about the Waffen SS for $9.99 with tons of great German armor photos. One highlighted Eastern Front and the other...

The Walmart I was in here in Cincinnati was in the process of doing an entire reset of their toy department. Had lots of clearence moved out and a lot of empty shelf space for new items. Will check back later in the week.
