I voted for Boulton-Paul Defiant, but why not a P.11c?

Similarly, it was not clear, how were painted Polish tanks and armored vehicles in September 1939. First, the dominating opinion was they were only green; I saw such schemes in earlier books. And now there's no doubt that they had three color camouflage (there could be exceptions). So, the later, th...

If any of you guys have the Squadron/Signal Panzer colors (red book) it show the camouflage you speak of as a pre-war pattern. It says late in 1939 in order to save paint supplies, the order was given to paint all vehicles dark grey. Mark So is it in all Polish books I have got! All illustrations a...

Very interesting informations, which change my picture of the September Campaign (of course only it's visual aspect)! I verified all (?) my books and brochures which could contain the photos from 1939. The recognizing of the German armored vehicles from that time is easy: the national markings in th...

As a point of interest, some allied aircraft, particularily British fighters and fighter bombers (most often Typhoons due to their similarity in apperance to the FW-190) had stripes similar to DDay stripes painted on their aircraft in 1943. They were usually more narrow in appearance and greater in...

Re: Question for All our Aircraft Aficionadoes
Lightning, the stripes were painted just before D-day both on the fuselage and wings, on all surfaces. In the progress of invasion, the color (which was easy to clear out) was removed from upper surfaces of wings and fuselage and stayed only on the bottom surfaces of the wings and the fuselage (or o...

Re: ...
Actually, German tanks during the Polish, low countries, and the battle of France campaigns were painted in dark grey/dark brown camo. Only after the battle of France ended did the order of painting armored in dark grey only to save paint were issued. If so, it would be a revolution in my knowledge...

Metalwar,
I'm sure, that at least since the September Campaign in Poland (1939) the German tanks and armored vehicles were in tank grey only, without any brown or other stains. So, in Greece they should be gray, too.

Tko, what I'd like to see is the 1/32 P-51B. For two reasons: 1) it's an opportunity to make the new molds of Mustang (first P-51B, than D!); 2) four Polish squadrons were equipped with the Mustangs Mk. III (P-51B). They looked great with British markings and camouflage, with Polish "chessboards", s...

It's 1/48. First planes are the same I suggested to produce in 1/32, (Bf-109G-10 and P-51B) so maybe we see them a little bigger, too?

From this point of view, for example, the Polish Shermans Mk. III (M4A2) used by our 2nd Corps in Italy would be "both exciting to the collector and commercially viable". At least about 50 tanks had the own names painted on the hull in various colors and with various letter styles. The colorful badg...

It's true. It was confirmed today in our TV. I wonder, if it is really impossible to pull it out of the water The ship could be one of the greatest military attraction in Poland (but not Polish ).theToyFederation wrote:pretty cool if true

The Italian sign came from the ancient lictors' bundles (Italian: "fasci". The word "fascism" has the same source) with the axes. It was the old etruscan and roman symbol of the authority.

I totally agree! 100% the older molds really are a dog in comparrison to the newer stuff. I just talked to 21st tonight. the stuka and corsair are just about finished. They are really going to ignite this line I think. If all goes as planned there sould be some really big news in this scale for 07....

Speaking only for my self, I'd rather pay $20 for a set of 12 unpainted and paint them than pay $360 for the same 12 painted metal figures. If you can afford them, it certainly does save a lot of time. I thought over this: if I were a r e a l l y rich man, I would rather buy the painted metal figur...
