I gotta take a nap... TTT Just so you'll have something to dream about while you nap....... the USS New Jersey in 1/18 scale would be 49' 3 1/2" long. Completely doable....

Quick question......... this contest is for construction of a new 1/18 scale boat, sub, or patrol craft, not for a diorama, correct?

Just want to make sure I'm on the same page.

GeneralB..: Very neat idea. You really don't have to go crazy with dimensions....they are close. Width (mid track to mid track) M-24 96" M-41 107" length M-24 196" M-41 221" What is the difference scaled down to 1/18? Nice work. TTT Just a quick calculation here, but by my figures, the M-24 in 1/18...

Did a little research........ as aferg mentioned, these were in fact built by a modeler in Malaysia. They do however have scribed panel lines and are fairly well detailed. Certainly not up to HPH standards, but impressive nonetheless. Believe it or not, the guy photocopies 3 view drawings and blows ...

Rob has been at it again, yet another product of his maaaaad laboratory ..........

Could these be a couple of those HPH, high $, museum quality birds?

Both of these planes are AWESOME, but that SU-27 unreal. bbi, 21C and Admiral, take note.

Yeah, I'm really stoked about the new Hornet and Viper schemes too. I will without a doubt add these to my collection. I too am a huge fan of these planes, with 7 F/A-18C's(3 Golden Dragons, 1 Marauders, 2 Blue Angels, and 1 Red Devils) and 2 F-16's(1 Texas ANG and 1 Virginia ANG in the works). Keep...

I agree, an M270 would be very cool in 1/18. A M142 HIMARS would be nice too. I think that is another one FOV already produces in 1/32, no?

How about an AAVP7? The list goes on.....

My R/C USCG 47' MLB is 1/18 scale, well, 1/18.5 to be exact. I am working on a crew for her now, then will detail her a bit further in the future. The bad thing about detailing an operating model is that the finer details tend to take a beating while running the model, thus there has to be a comprom...
