Axis, you’ve done some fantastic work on those Shermans! Very nice and realistic job with the winter whitewash and weathering 8)

Re: Do we really want new WWII figures?

I’d love to see more German tanker figures! I got a bunch of the 21st “Battle of the Bulge” style tanker figures in the white or camouflage coveralls years ago at Walmart and have scrounged up a few of the figures in the black panzerwrap uniforms over the years, but more would definitely be welcome....

Re: 1/18 Scale US 37mm Anti-Tank Gun M3 (Grunt1’s kit)

Axis, I completely agree with your assessment of those clunky joints with the old 21st figures! The new Marauder WWII figures are much better, but still have visible joints. Razor, the dioramas in the background are old 1/32 Forces of Valor diorama sets that I’ve got some 1/30 scale King and Country...

Re: Do we really want new WWII figures?

Just for reference for those that may not have seen them, here are pics of some of the Joy Toy figures in my collection, including their modern USMC figures and US Army Special Forces. I’ve also got one of their Mechs and some modern Russian troops, but don’t have any pictures readily available. I t...

Re: Do we really want new WWII figures?

Good to hear from you, Digger! Marauder, Inc. won’t like this news, given they recently released their WWII figure line... I’ve got a number of the 1/18 Joy Toy figures and agree they are excellent! They would make some amazing WWII figures for sure.

Re: Where Have All The Aircraft Mods Gone?

That looks really nice! I’ve got my “Smoke II” F-104 packed up in its box at the moment, but recently took a look at it and I’d forgotten how much 21st oversprayed on the camouflage, at least in my example... You did a significantly better job and it shows 8)

1/18 Scale US 37mm Anti-Tank Gun M3 (Grunt1’s kit)

A while back I purchased Grunt1’s 3D printed kit of the US 37mm Gun M3 from his Battleground Toys shop. I finally got around to building it this past weekend and it made for a nice quick project. https://i.postimg.cc/xCspBMrv/DA94-E3-E4-5215-4-DAF-A2-E3-03-EF0927-CC3-D.jpg Grunt1’s M3 is a fantastic...

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone! The telescopes are from Grunt1’s Battlegrou...

Still a bit of work left to do, but my Jagdpanzer IV L/70 kit from Aracula is finally coming together now. The basic paint job is done and I just finished the decals. Next I’ll be sealing the decals and then onto the weathering, tracks, and final assembly. I’m painting my Jagdpanzer in the markings ...

Axis, the 21st, BBI, and Bravo Team 1/18 Shermans did not come with tow cables, so you’re not missing anything. Some of the 21st German tanks did have the cables (like the Panther and Tiger) but not the Shermans. That would be great if Picklehaube made some cables 8)

Re: Filming The Haleiwa Scramble (1/72nd Scale)

Your P-40 looks fantastic! And quite an interesting subject since as opposed to depicting the historical scene as most modelers would, you’re showing the filming of a movie depicting the historical event... That’s a neat twist 8)

Normandy, I’ve got a really random question for you: What type of cutting tool did you use to cut out the cockpit area on the ME-163? I’ve got a Dremel, but most of the saw pieces I’ve got for it are too big for that space... Just curious!

Nice job, Normandy! BTW, I just got some miscellaneous parts from Battleground toys, including the allied tool sets, a German MG-42, etc. The quality of the tooling exceeds a lot of what 21st did and is significantly better than what one gets with the resin casting process. 3D printing is really the...

Re: FOV rouses itself from slumber...!!!

Speaking of FOV, my local Hobbytown USA store got in their new Jagdpanther and Jagdtiger models. I did not get the Jagdpanther as my old one from 2004 is still my favorite and the new model was not a significant improvement over it, but I did get the Jagdtiger. It is a significant improvement over t...

Grunt1, Very cool on the Panzer I kit! I sent you an email about placing an order for this last night. I’m definitely interested. Ive got an excellent model of one in 1/30 scale and we need more early war/Blitzkrieg era tanks in 1/18 8) https://i.postimg.cc/8c4FH4bQ/F76130-C9-6-AAE-437-D-9-F5-B-94-F...
