Ditto on Fergie. For what it is worth, my opinion has always been that AG's comeback based on a new paint job on a very common plane was a mistake. How many Mustangs can you hang from your cieling? Had they started with the KT and followed that up with a second tank that hasn't been made before in ...

That is a fantastic model.

I seem to recall reading that they lost a number of King Tigers early on as a result of the shells stored in the turret and just stored them in the hull.

Interesting debate... What I wonder though... You get a toy out of the box, the landing gear are messed up... You complain. Who's to say you're not lying? It's a he said/she said thing too... You say the gear were broken out of the box, the company could say, "How do we know that?" in return... I w...

My score card,

Admiral and 21c both provided great after purchase support for replacement parts.

Dragon, apologized for not having the part I needed in stock.

FOV, didn't respond at all.

On this note, I've always been surprised that the planes haven't been showing up at more airshows for sale. I think you are right. This is hearsay, I heard that one airshow wanted $4,000 for a vendor booth. I don't know what the typical rate is, but if that's true, I would think it would be financi...

This is the dark green I was referring to. But it does appear like there might be a brown as well. I don't recall ever seeing the brown plastic while I was collecting them. The suspension and tracks on this painted Leopard 2A4 - Camouflage model appear to be one piece. I tend to think the build is a...

During the seventies, they were probably the most readily available pre-assembled option around. Back then they were unpainted, dark army green. Back then, they had a VAST/HUGE assortment of vehicles. Some were disappointingly simplified/inaccurate, the panther, king tiger and hunting tiger come to ...

Yeah, those fumes, outgassing , probably aren't too healthy for us (As I take a drink from a plastic water bottle). I recently bought a truck load of vinyl statues/figures that were really new and outgassing a lot. It got me to wondering about longevity and caring for them. Any opinions or recommend...

Using the floor tile for a 12" point of reference, I looks 1/18 scale to me.

Forgive me for not knowing the correct terminology, but it looks like it's missing the protective cover over one of the periscopes. But I can live with that, just let me buy one.

well you've basically restated my question, Panther F. Why is it that some people want their collections to 'size up' while others, like you, don't care about scale differences? Why doesn't it bother you that the Pershing is 12% bigger than it should be in comparison to the 1/18 tank it's beside? I...

That can't be! Support and supply vehicles never existed. Totally fictional stuff introduced by Ho...

I've been really happy with Dragon 1/35. With two King Tigers and two Tiger I's, I'm feeling the need for a little more variety or Allied counterparts to put them in context. I'd like to see a Sherman and T-34 now. The early and late production Tigers are distinctly different. I don't seem much vari...

Dragon 1/35 Tiger I Initial Production #61001

I picked up the Dragon 1/35 Tiger I Initial Production #61001 at Admiral Toys today to go with my 61019 . Maybe it's my imagination, but details on this model seem really, really crisp. More than on the other Dragon 1/35 models I've collected. Paint seems to be a little uneven regarding gloss/matte ...

Re: Admiral Toys

I just got one of their Sabres on ebay and it came without the hardware and worse, without the horizontal stabilizers.
