Re: 4" Boss Fight Studio's Greek Warrior Figures

Indeed!. I have a few of the Unimax figures. Here a link to my (now very old review) http://www.warbird-photos.com/gpxd/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=15872 They were a little hard to get. I really only wanted the Roman soldier. I bought a few sets just for that figure. And a few loose which I paid to much for...

4" Boss Fight Studio's Greek Warrior Figures

Boss Fight Studio's Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. Action Figures I'm sure everyone here has seen the kickstarter running for these figures, but if you haven't check it out. I am very excited about finally getting some Ancient Warriors with articulation. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/813878470/boss-fig...

Re: Post all JOE SCALE discussion here...read first post

Why not put up am "Non-Military 1:18 scale" category. There must be enough people who collect generally 1:18 scale stuff that would love to post and share. The "off topic" category is just too broad. Now true the number of posts is not enormous, but sorting through everything from movies to pets to ...

One thing that does happen in a slow economy....

Moving. Moving sucks big time. People may sell be selling off some planes for needed cash and so they don't have to pay to move them to the new house, city or state.

I've had nothing but good experiences with smalljoes for years now. I think I placed my first order with them in ~2003 (?) Here is a possible explanation. Smalljoes has to order these things by the case. That is an investment of cash they lay out. Thus the preorder. You agree to pay up front, then t...

For me "collecting" is more about my own enjoyment. Although i like to think I have something someone will give me $ for in the future (if I need the money). That is only a possibility (and sadly when ya need the money, hey where's that buyer?). So I have always opened up packages because I enjoy th...

That's a great question. I too would like to find sources for 1:18 regular household items and buildings. Some of the Playmobil stuff works ok. for example they have a oldworld style/Bavarian(?) house: http://suzyandjoel.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/playmobil_house.jpg It could use a bit of tou...

I preordered a full set (Thanks smalljoes.com!) and am pretty happy with the figures. 1 bitch is the fragility of some of teh weapons. The handle on the shield seperated immediately. The sword on the samurai broke in 3 seconds. And as stated above the size is outta control. the Samuari is a gi...

RECON UPDATE: Walmart has reduced deluxe figures to 3 bucks here in Nor. California. That means motorcycles if you can find them. Your method for posting the pictures is called "hot-linking" It is not a an ethical thing to do. A retailer will have to pick up the cost of the extra band-width traffic. For some small retailers this is significant. It's better to save the pictures to your computer and then upload them to a free im...

Thanks for the heads up! I finally picked up some armor. I've wanted a german piece for a long time and this price was too good to pass up. Nice to see they have the SS sets still for $20! that's still an insane price for 16 figures. Who's gonna make Nazi troops like this again?

Yep, no rarer figs anywhere around Stockton-Tracy-Sacramento-Davis-Vacaville-Fairfield in Nor Cal. Target marked their Indiana jones figs down to $1.74 (some targets are at $1.99). Picked up a couple german solders and 1 russian (finally found one). Some targets are essentially sold out of all figs....

I just got my TOD wave figures. Mostly they are ok. I have very high standards though and thus was a little bit disappointed. Indy = best face sculpt I've seen (now that's not sayin much!) But all around he's fine. Mola Ram = His big old robes make movement in legs about zero. But nice headgear, and...

I second that assessment. THe ark is really nice. The figure I wasn't impressed with, but it's fine. My ark came with a real human hair in it! black, fine, about an 1" long - probably from Asia. Some factory workers hair fell into teh ark. Not as cool as holy scriptures or angry ghosts. I left it in...
