"Come and See" was for the most part about the partisans. Probably could've been a more realistic and less idealistic view of the partisan struggle, but this was the best representation of this part of the war that I've ever seen on film. It wasn't loaded with any more 'propaganda' than you'd find i...

Good Foreign-Made War Movies?

Seems these days, you have to really search to find any good War movies, as Hollywood has put out nothing but formulaic crap lately. I've come across a few very good foreign movies such as Dark Blue World , Europa, Europa , Stalingrad , Downfall and a very intense superbly filmed Russian-made movie ...

Yes, I saw some at the model shop recently, that were made of some sort of high-quality plastic, which mounted or cradled 1:32/1:48 scale sized aircraft. They were $19, I believe.

The Time-Life WWII Series is fantastic. You can piece together the set by visiting Half-Price books. I got most of them there, then filled in the holes via Ebay. Great photos, layout, and especially the writing. Interesting vignettes about individual stories of heroism, heartache, etc. A must have.

For the record, that 'sag' tends to become more taught when the Tiger's moving. Watching the Bovington Tiger go through its paces, you'll see what I mean.

Still, gotta love the sag...the Dragon Armor 1/35 piece did it nicely.

Is this Tiger 142?

Is this the same Tiger 142 that the Dragon Armor 1/35 Afrika Korps Tiger is modelled after?

There are so many, it's kind of like a flavor of the month.

I'm anxiously awaiting my newest peices to come in (ie. Nashorn, Stug, etc)...so I'd have to say my favorite is either the Kursk Tiger or the Carius Tiger.

Doesn't look too shabby. Much better than the Corgi Tigers IMHO.

I'd buy one.

I agree, they do look similar, but the Tamiya product comes with different packaging and doesn't come with a figure...does it? I wonder if its some Mainland China-based company we've never heard of making these? Or perhaps its the same factory that does the Tamiya Masterworks, but repackages these u...

Looks a lot like it, however this one comes completely assembled and painted. Does Tamiya offer these completely painted up? And what is that "HM" logo?

Who Makes This Tiger?

Can anyone tell me who makes this 1:50 (maybe 1:60) scale diecast Tiger tank? I don't recognize the logo, but it looks like a nice model. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y295/olewinston97/mysterytiger3.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y295/olewinston97/mysterytiger5.jpg http://i7.photobucket.co...

Be nice if that guy from California (with the tank ranch) could donate something towards the effort. Hell, they might even be able to finance the construction of the whole thing by selling off one of their rarer pieces.

Wow! Simply, wow! When they said "everything"...they meant EVERYTHING! Even the new Afrika Korps 1/35 Tiger (which is badass) Never heard of the Wittmann Ace & Glory for the Japanese Market, which looks identical to the Cyber-Hobby version. The Carius Tiger, in my estimation is the rarest and most s...
