Re: PTE Recons
BL selection has been ass the last couple years. I hope it perks up some. There are some cool new designs like the MLRS and stuff. Would like to pick up several of those.

Correct, November was what I'd heard too... Just in time to kill my CC limit in the build up to Christmas haha. Oh well, I've bought worse things that screwed my credit limit up when I was wanting to do some shopping, haha.

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
I'd be shocked if they don't because some interest was there and the toolings are done, it's just a matter of cranking them out which is a cost so I'm sure they'll be weighting demand for them to some degree.

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
I last minute backed this just to have my foot in the door to get some of the unlocks quickly. With the Jabba Sailbarge, my toy budget was blown up this year unexpectedly and so I had to pick/choose. I'd have loved to have gone Mayhem on this though as it was fantastic and still is a fantastic line....

as I've always said, Grunt's stuff is TOP notch. I do white strong and flexible plastic for any prints I get of his and while there is some Sandy texture to it, it's nothing that is really all that bad and I found primer evens it out a good bit. I use plastikote stuff from Advance Auto, which they h...

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
On the solids, they're obviously far cheaper... as far as who is buying them, who knows. There were some guys on FB asking for "green army men" type things, others wanting colors for throwback Cobra Troopers or whatnot. As far as painting, Marauder stuff is like any other toy/action figure. acrylic ...

Every time I look on Amazon it's crept up in price a little more. It was $60 before xmas then $70 when I bit the bullet on it finally, now $84. Wish Big Lots would start stocking some of this stuff so the price was set and likely for less than that. $70 was my threshold on it. Anymore and I debated ...

Loving following this along on Facebook... 1/18 has life! I'd considered selling my 1/18 stuff off for the most part and just collecting 1/16 tanks. Now? I'm back to keeping it all except some of the air war stuff. These look fantastic and Marauder does great stuff. They're not cheap but if you're u...

Re: 1:18 Aliens APC
Its date keeps getting pushed back... Not sure this one is gonna happen but the prototypes are amazing of it. Lighted displays and stuff. I plunked down immediately for it, but alas its not getting the support I think it'll need. I have a feeling they're (Hiya) hoping their Predator or other figures...

All I wanna know is where do you get all your ARW exclusives because I've been hard pressed to get one. Hell I didn't even get a marine. I just want one damn marine ARW figure.
If you have one you ever wanna let go, hit me up. That's been a major headache for me.

I got two for $10 as well. Didn't interest me...... till it was that cheap. Then, hell yeah. Now? Probably made more here than I will have in the stock market.

I may have an extensive number of LOTR and Star Wars sets available. LOTR would probably be sold as a collection ultimately as I had a ton, and just don't see the need to have it all now. I'll try to snap a pic of it sometime Corey, see what you think. Star Wars is up for offer to a friend of mine w...

I'm hoping that "not yet" is the case as well because I really want it, but the $45 shipping is obscene. I ship from China, a lot, and that's definitely a lot. They can ship super cheap. It'll be on the proverbial slow boat, but you'll get it.

Re: what needs to be done before painting 3D-models
That WSF material is really easy to work with like Grunt says... Cleans up nice. Washing things (models, etc.) usually is because of finger grease and such, but also because of mold-release materials like Grunt mentioned on resin. It's also on some injection molded models. I don't believe mold-relea...

Re: Input on some 21st century figures
Test Shots tend to be less valuable than prototypes... Testshots come in a variety of different "flavors". Thus you'll see goofy colors used... usually whatever's handy in the hopper as it was. A lot of it does have to do with the toy line's life itself though. Those seem like they're testing the co...

Re: New Player plans to enter the WWll Figures market
They're done by Hasbro sculptors (ex) and they'll be done like GI Joes... The market is just broader there for customization and such. It's not there with just guys who like WW2 figures. This crossover will make sense ultimately. It's like Chicken Fried Toys' line of Dime Novel Legends western figur...

I'm nowhere near as good at this as Grunt is, just to get that out of the way, but Google offers a free program and tutorials as well... If you want to just learn some basics anyway. It's called Google Sketch-up and it's where I started tinkering. My gf worked with design/CAD software professionally...

Re: HACKS Customised show atriculation
You don't see a ton of the "paint wash" effect on things anymore. Acid Rain has it, but that was something you used to see on Hasbro Star Wars figures extensively for either weathering/damage or even just shading hair. Without it, and as simple as that is, it definitely detracts. It's why 5POA Han f...

Re: 1:16 & 1:18 Sherman Hedgerow cutters
Grunt tossed one of these into an order for me, totally unexpected, and it's amazingly well done. I can tell it's one of his earlier test prints but I'll tell ya what... it won't take me much cleaning at all to make it perfect for one of my 1/18 Shermies. I'm in for one of the 1/16 ones for when I g...
