I would love a 1:18th scale F6F Hellcat. Oh wait, it has folding wings, that means years of delays. Oh well, it is a nice thought. :D

The F-104 was designed as a 1950s era interceptor. It was designed to take off, and climb as fast as it could to intercept incoming bombers. Vietnam put requests on the Starfighters that they were never orignially designed for. But they sure look cool in the Southeast Asia camo paint. :D

Is the Petie 2nd version of the 21Century P-51 being sold at Wal-mart? There are plenty of the Ridge Runner versions here, but I was wondering about the Petie version.

I agree with you the 21st Century P-51 is a nice model. My only gripe is the bent back prop blades, but that is no problem to fix. On thing that I noticed right away is they got the tailwheel doors right. They are way to long on the BBI version. Another small detail, but on these models small detail...

I keep looking, but I am not sure what you see as off on the new F-86? I have been a huge fan of the F-86, and over the years collected lots of info on them. This to me is the most accurate looking F-86 model I have seen. I can't wait to see the finished model. :D

Both of these planes were extremely important in the formation of pilots. Without these planes, there would have been no pilots to fly the P-51s, P-47s, P-38s, Corsairs............................. :D

I would love to see a 1:18th scale T-6 Texan, and a Navy SNJ version. You are right, there are so many nice paint schemes a model like that could have. :D

I went to Wal-Mart a few weeks ago looking for the P-51 "Ridge Runner". I found a stack of five of them way up on the top shelf. I walked around awhile looking for someone to help me. After no luck with that, I saw a nice blue ladder on the next isle. I helped myself and picked the best of the Musta...
