Our TRU cleared out all military themed toys to include PTE stuff. The section was replaced with their cheap knockoff guitars and crap. No other spot in the store for it either, I hope this is isolated in part to an idiot store mgr and isn't another 'here we go again' with the anti-war sentim...

LOL... If we are gonna go huge, then hows about a "Spruce Goose"...?? I wonder what the wingspan would be on a 1:18 model of that...?
 Just under 18 feet. Walked thru that honker when it was still in Long Beach, impressive is an understatement.

"Considering the economy" is exactly why I don't get anyone thinking they can start up a new aircraft line when the primary medium is very expenive rtv and resin. and then talk about selling them cheap. Unless that is one has free access to an injection molder and all the materials and had the molds...

Yeah but what old XD isn't bringing alot more nowadays. Kiinda like a VW Thing, back in the day you had to pay someone to take one off your hands, now they're like gold.

As far as the Iranian Tomcat, love foreign use aircraft and will most definitely get one.

The Finnish swas shouldn't be an issue for anyone considering they started using it ca. 1919 whilst Hitler was still an unemployed dolt stirring up scheisse in the beer halls. But pc is as pc does. I have a Corgi He-111 but not a Ju-52 yet. They make such cool stuff I wish they'd do a 1/72 Betty or ...

Welcome Jim from Merit. Your comments should add just the amount of humor needed to brighten an otherwise dull day. You can start by telling us a story, you know the one about the spotted cat. World tour? Reminds me of an Obama stimulous package. The worst product release in the history of 1:18 air...

I think the price is insane, a friend of mine emailed them and they stated the opening bid was like less than half of what their reserve was. My opinion something like this is worth no more than $2k and that's to a hard core collector. I hate reserves and for that reason alone I'm not interested and...

You are referring to the "one of several nose art panels" that were the actual prize and not TT itself. The noseart panels were given away as prizes to of which only 10 were made and are numbered. 4 guys won them automatically because they were "double aces" in that they bought more than the minimum...

What's different between the 2 green Zeros? Just the squadrons. 1st one is from the 261st naval air group tora (tiger) 110 which btw they boffed the scheme, from the greenhouse back should be a different shade of green and they also left off the leader stripes on the wings. 21st got it right on the...

Considering only 3 were made (21st's own words back in 2004 when they were desperate to get the first one back that escaped by accident), and the 3 now being accounted for in collections, I'd be awful suspect of a "4th" showing up for sale. Just coz a "21st" salesman :? is offering don't mean...

Value is in the eye of the beholder(s). Obviously worth it to some or wouldn't have sold. As the only 3 in existance are safe in collections, worth and value of these is really a moot point. Everyone seems quick to bash this model for accuracy and so and so on and so on. It's a prototype, right, wro...

Not really an accuracy thing as much as a collectibility thing. It's an authentic prototype with only 3 in existance, to a collector, that says enough. The S2 has always been referred to as "spinach", on this board as well...

I've bought from this guy too, pretty good to deal with. Yep JSI was one of the factories for 21st. Have you taken a whack at building it? The one build up I found online was not flattering. I collect kits and don't plan to build this one. I intented to get 2 from Squadron at that price as wanted to build at least one but got the last one they had. It is definitely not a kit for the faint of heart.

Let me just ask this, as I'm curious. What was going on with that pilot in the auction pictures? What I mean is, the pilot of the prototype desert 109 looked as if he was sculpted from a single block. The figure didn't seem articulated whatsoever, just a solid resin cast. Not the figure that was pu...
