Re: merit Announcment

I agree that most 1/18 military toys companies seem to have a poor understanding of business.

Any new item should be welcomed with open arms and wallets. Regardless of your preference, think collector and save an unopened one for 20 years.

Repaints are another story.

Re: Military Toy Shop - Haven for 1/18 XD

I sent them an email about them buying some of my 1/18 planes for their rare and collectible listing. Mainly to see what they are looking for and if I have it.

Re: New Merit 1/18 DAUNTLESS DISCUSSION

I collect a ton of 1/18: dicast cars, the planes and vehicles. I just got my 1/18 Coral Sea Dauntless. First 1/18 plane I've bought since the JSI Spotcat came out. Since I was layed off in 2009 and currently working at approx 1/2 pay ( 50k a year to 25Kish) I've stopped buying, unless something real...

I want Trumpeter to continue making 1/16 tank kits...something other than a KT. I put in my request for a Centurion MKIII or MKV to Hooben:)

Re: New Merit 1/18 DAUNTLESS DISCUSSION

see, this is why 1/18 military toys or collectibles don't get produced, already people are questioning the accuracy of the model based on a few pics. One gun or two who cares??? I'm sure the manufactuers get tons of letters sent to them complaining about the panel recess line is incorrect, etc... an...

Re: 1/16 tanks

I don't understand why Hooben would do such a Tank as the Maus. When I bought my T-55 I suggested to their rep that they consider a British Centurion MK III for their next tank model.

Re: New Merit 1/18 DAUNTLESS DISCUSSION

I find it 'remarkable' that 3 or more different companies decided to 'develop' the same 1/18 Dauntless during the past 3 years, yet none are completed. Too bad for us and them they didn't each make a different plane to bring in sales, perhaps they would still be in business.

Re: New pictures of Auto Art diecast 1/18 Jeep *update 10/27

$274! Way overpriced for what you get. For that kind of money, you can get a highly detailed 1/18 F1 or Le Mans race car. Sadly most 1/18 diecast continue to go up in price. Autoarts used to be availlable for 60-80 dollars now most are in the 140 range. Exoto cars are now almost $400 or more. Dave

I picked up a 21c Kubel cheap, problem it had lost it's box and windscreen. Everything else is still there, Kubel is on the base and even the tape is intact.

The 21C Kubel is more of a playable toy, where as the Mimichamps is look at it, display it, but don't play with it.

Mato Toys informed me they would not be carrying the Hooben T55 and Elefant. Bummer, that means I'll have to buy from UK or somewhere else overseas:(

Re: 1/16 tanks

Mato Toys has them listed as well, the ebay is canadian, so it's likely the same store front. I emailed Mato and asked about them getting the Hooben T55 and Elefant and any other new HL Tanks.

1/18 and 1/16 manufacteurs should be coming out of Hiberation so hopefully we'll see a lot more items.

I'm sure he meant Heng Long, and the other is Matoro. Mato has their M4.
Which I thought was really nice.
Was there a rumor that Heng Long was going to release a Sherman?

Re: 1/16 tanks

Can't go wrong on the KV-1. Just a note however, make sure you check
the on off switches on the HL tanks. Soldering quality is (was?) a bit sloppy and
could short the rc battery.
