Apologize should have mentioned you will need to remove the screws, open the fuselage, remove the exhaust nozzle split the the exhaust chamber to seat the dowel the reassemble. Doesn't take to long. The easiest way for me to remove a screw cover with minimal damage is with a dreamel. I bought a smal...

Here is another possible option. Ran a 1 inch dowel thru the rear of the F-86, thru the exhaust section and up to the cockpit. The dowel is held in place inside the fuselage by the exhaust section. Used a grinding hell to grind down about a 5" section of the dowel inside the fuselage so it fits snug...

The Way Ahead..

Just a few thoughts and ideas here gleamed from previous forum posts. I think we all agree there is little if anything we can do as 1/18 collectors that will influence new product development. We put together all these wish lists but it never really comes to fruition unless its already planned for p...

SAD along with DAD and the PAD is a relatively new chronic condition aggravated by attempted HAA intrusion. (HAA = Home Aviation Administration - person who attempts to change your XD display to match her sewing room) (HAA - not be to be confused with the FAA). Serious discounts on XD at WMT may pro...

Chief - HPH (www.hph.cz) in Czechslovkia that produces the 1/18 scale aircraft for $$$$. Saw the post in a forum somewhere from an HPH rep who basically made the same comment. No complaints from me since the big 3 (AD,BBI,2C) provide the same product at an affordable price.

Still waiting to see who will be the first company to produce a 1/18th "conversion" airplane. Apologize if this idea is already posted somewhere. Your right the XD F-104 is a tough one. Believe the box my F-104 came in either had a bird strike or ground taxi accident. I found it in the discount section of WMT probably because the clear display window was missing from the box. I think the pilot must have ejected sometime during his journey in ...

1\18 XD Extreme Detail "Conversion" Airplane

What do you think if 21st sold a 1/18th XD Extreme Detail "Conversion" Airplane (cowlings, canopies etc) which would allow buyers to build one of many different variants out of the same box. The XD "Conversion" airplane would be sold in the box with a base paint scheme. The aircraft can be built rig...
