Feedback for Razor17019 - I bought 3 items from him (2 1/18 aircraft and 1 vehicle), they arrived in 13 days (airmail
to UK), very well packaged. Postage/shipping charges very reasonable. Many thanks for allowing me to get these items
for my collection at an affordable price!

This is the same seller who I won a BBI 1/18 P-51 from yesterday! They charged me $25 for airmail shipping to the UK, which is about half what most US sellers charge. (Most eBay sellers have quoted me $40 or more to ship a 1/18 plane to the UK) So I'm guessing that their $1000 on the Kubel is just a...

I managed to win a BBI P-51 on eBay for $46 plus $25 airmail post to the UK - total around £41 which isn't bad (the most I've paid for a 1/18 plane so far but I doubt I'll find one cheaper). This will probably be my third 1/18 customisation project. Currently I'm working on the Corsair and my next o...

Thanks for the link! The BBI model certainly looks miles better in terms of finish and fine detail, particularly the gears/wheels and cockpit interior. For an unmodified display model, there's absolutely no contest between the two - the BBI model makes 21C's Mustang look like a crude toy. The basic ...

Series 1 P-51D accuracy/detail questions
I've heard that the original ("Series 1") 21st Century 1/18 P-51D Mustang is fairly inaccurate
compared to the newer BBI one.
What are the main "issues" with it, accuracy-wise? Does anyone have a link to any reasonably-sized photos of this plane?

Thanks for the info. Looks like Tankzone's prices are even steeper than Modeller's Loft! - £50 plus P&P for any 1/18 vehicle. Their prices are usually over the top anyway I find - their Hen Long/Marui 1/24 and 1/16 RC tanks are at least twice their usual eBay price. There are two problems with buyin...

Anywhere to get XD/BBI 1/18 items in the UK?
Other than eBay, are there any places - whether online stores or "bricks and mortar" shops - which sell 21st and BBI 1/18 planes and vehicles in the UK? The only regular seller of 1/18 models I've ever found is www.modellersloft.co.uk who I think have a shop somewhere in Kent. Their prices are very ...

WTB various 1/18 planes+tanks- Any condition considered!
I'm a scale modeller who uses the 1/18 XD and BBI aircraft as a basis for "superdetailed", semi-scratchbuilt customised models. (See my "Any other aircraft customisers?" post on the 1/18 forum). These 1/18 models are very hard to find here in the UK, even on eBay, and when you do find them they usua...

Is this the same thing as the GI Joe "Patriot Grizzly" tank? I've seen literally dozens of these at toy shops and on eBay here in the UK, usually £10-15 each. I didn't pay them much attention as, not being based on a real vehicle, I though they had no modelling/customising value - I didn't think of ...

Are the Power Team Elite 1/18 vehicles based on the BBI moulds? I have the PTE M1 Abrams which I picked up cheaply earlier this year, intending to customise, superdetail and repaint it. Looking at pictures of the BBI Abrams (which I've never seen for sale here in the UK) the mouldings look very, ver...

Any other 1/18 aircraft/tank customisers out there?
Hello - I've visited this forum a few times for info on 1/18 models but this is my first post here. Firstly I'd like to say that I'm a scale modeller, not a model/toy collector. So I apologise if I've shocked any 1/18 plane collectors by dismantling, sawing up and modifying these collectables! Anywa...
