Hi Dragon, I recently assembled my S1 Hellcat so a few notes... 1. I found that while attaching the second antenna line from the fuselage to the mast, there wasn't enough room to thread the line through the mast eyelet. Too much space was taken by the line to the tail so I put a small drop of Elmer'...

Wow, that is quite a price jump over what we are accustomed to in XD armor. Like many of you, I was certainly awaiting the KT arrival. At that price though, I'll have to pass. :(

I know that want to toss against the wall feeling. I amost lost it with the BBI Zero. I couldnpt get tje wings to fit quite right, too much gap between the wing and fuselage on one side. I finally accepted it when I realized it still looks good even if it isn't perfect. I screwed with tat damn cock...

TMAN, I don't know if you hang up your planes like I do, but hanging from my 8' ceiling, the rear canopy covering is not at all noticable. I have to really try to look for it to see it. What is noticable is the rest of this beautifully rendered, very detailed ME262 and the amazing camouflage paint s...

I have the Sea Hurricane and the Douglas Bader and I think they are fantastic. Very nicely detailed with many working features.
I wish Corgi had continued with its 1:32 line.

Checked my TRU this evening and found:
F-86 Mitch
P-51 Flying Undertaker
P-40 Pearl Harbor
Stuka (latest spotted camo version)

Scanned at $39 each.

Also had the new 1:144 scale dual packs with pink Spitfire and ME-262 white nose.

Same story here. Local Wallys that used to stock plenty of 1:18 now have zippo! They only have 1:6 weapon sets and some smaller scale stuff.

You should also consider how you will display the Corsair. If you are going to hang it from the ceiling with the gear down, you will find that 21C (IMO) did a better job with the gear/gear doors. So, looking up at it, you might want to go with 21C. If the plane will be displayed low (e.g. on a desk,...

Jason,
If you are looking for additional reference photos of the Skyraider, the current issue (March/April) of Warbird Digest has a feature on the AD-1. It contains some gorgeous photos of various paint schemes.

Looking forward to the day of its arrival!

Well Black Dragon, unfortunately you're just a few weeks late. We had dozens of new Halftracks and PAK 40 in my part of San Diego county, but when they were marked down to $8.50 apiece, they flew off the shelves. All gone now. :(

Happy hunting,
