Very nice work on that T-34! I'm curious about how much paint work you did on it, since I would like to build one but have amateur painting skills. Did you paint the tank exterior, tread links, etc. or is that pretty much an out-of-the-box finish? The interior work looks great. Did Trumpeter mold an...

Glue removal from clear plastic

The windscreen side panel of my black chevron FW190 has a blotch of dried glue on the inside. I was worried about trying to scrape it with an exacto and making it worse. Is there some way to remove the dried glue from the clear plastic or is this now a permanent 'feature' on my plane? Thanks for any...

Thanks kamikaze! I'll check my local Targets. The 1:72 resin kits were pretty pricey so I was planning to scratch build. Of course, Corgi could easily fix this problem by installing the waist guns in the first place. All of their more-recent B-24's have stupid clear windows in place of the guns, and...

Maybe I missed it, but have there been any pics with the engine cover removed? I'd sure like to see how BBI did on the Merlin.

VMF214,
Please read my last post, I think it will clarify my situation. Then how about we move on. Too many other exciting things to talk about :)

Corgi B-24 guns

I would like to install a pair of 50 cal. guns into the waist positions of my 1:72 Liberator.
Do you guys know if these are available separately through a hobby source or would I have to scratch build them?

Thanks a lot!

I agree with you 100% aferg! Growing up in the 50's, it was certainly a different time as far as attitiudes toward what is "correct". I personally have no problem with the BBI mustang as is and I'm as fanatical about accuracy as anybody. I just hoped after waiting sooo long for a finely detailed exa...

Finally, a great looking 1:18 scale Panzer IV. I wonder if it will have an interior even more detailed than the Tiger and Bulldog. This is very exciting!
Thanks 21C!

I think his point is no one needs to make a mountain out of a mole hill with the name of the plane! Hope people that think the name is harsh don't own any Jerry Lee Lewis records... Ya know, there is always the possibility that someone from BBI may be reading this board, and if some members a...

bbi

Same here! I don't want "Killer" splashed on the side of my Mustang. If it is a separate decal that I can leave off, I'll go for it. Otherwise... I'll have to hope for a repaint.

Paint scheme accuracy

I wonder if the production version will have the blue spinner and blue/white checkerboard mentioned in the reference. I hope BBI doesn't follow 21C's habit of altering paint schemes for no good reason.
Excellent detail on this bird though. Puts my XD BBD to shame!

I have eight planes up using 20lb line, a couple of these have been up for 2 years. No problems yet.
I also recommend putting a drop of super glue on the knots.

Great idea Ski!

I like the way those turned out on your Corsair. I'll have to give that a try!
