Re: Do we really want new WWII figures?
I agree on the articulation; you can only do so much to hide it if you want them fully poseable. Personally, I think even clothes are problematic as they never seem to hang naturally off the figures and look stiff. Plus, even they suffer from other disadvantages of small reproduction with pockets, b...

Re: HobbyBoss 1/18 Me 262 Kit?
The 21st are all old and getting expensive on ebay, plus they don't make money for the kit companies. Besides, this is likely a repop of the last Merit kit anyway.

Re: 1/32 A-26?
HKM is about to announce a new 1/32 kit very soon. It supposed to be something they're not done before but that doesn't necessarily mean no one else has. Most people are hoping it is completely new to 1/32, which would be great; the more the merrier. There are many guesses going on right now as to w...

Re: 1/32 A-26?
Kit is already on its way out to stores. The photo is a test shot from a while back; the actual item looks better but like the B-24 there are issues. They put the wrong engine in it so there aren't enough cylinders when you view it but a couple of guys doing review builds seem to have some ideas on ...

There are so many untold true stories from the war. Why is Hanks doing a fictional one?

Yes, but have you seen any of the finished builds out there? Even with its flaws it builds up into something that still says, 'B-24' and looks good to the average person. I got one for Christmas and am glad I did because there won't be another company stepping up to do it.

Re: SBD on the Bench
Well, I did some looking because I know I saw this kit offered earlier by Trumpeter and it turns out you are partially right. This is not a true upscale of the kit but a new tool that was developed by Hobby Boss based on the smaller Trumpeter kit (remember HB is a unit of Trumpeter) and was going to...

Re: SBD on the Bench
This is basically the Trumpeter 1/32 kit enlarged. If you image search you will find references to it as a Trumpeter kit, and the SBD was one of Trumpeter's better 1/32 kits. Plus, Trumpeter and Hobby Boss (subsidiary of Trumpeter) have upscaled several aircraft over the years. I have one of the 1/3...

Might be time to try a repaint? All you need is a set of the proper decals and the paint. Unless you are meaning to fill a 21st Century collection hole?

Re: another forum questiion
I've encountered those types on gaming forums as well. I was part of a Battlefield 2 clan and we got a member who started fine and then began attacking members in posts; really off-the-wall vicious stuff with no basis on anything. Just pure meanness. He took it further by entering our online server,...

I have to unfortunately say that is not the actual Ausführung you are looking to make here, as it is not an F. Re: MIDWAY movie
I actually watched it last night myself, because 1917 wasn't available. I felt it was a little rushed myself by having to include PH and the raid. There were a lot of little scenes that seemed to be stuck in there just to act as transitions but needed a bit more fleshing out. Some were so short I do...

That's a nice 1952 sedan.
Fill in that 5-sided flap in front of the doors and you'll time travel back to the 1940's.

It's not on your end. Something is going on as I can access from my phone but it is no longer keeping me logged in when I use my PC at home. It won't recognize the cookie I enable to stay logged.

Well, the molds probably got dispersed amongst the creditors owed money when 21st collapsed and who knows what might have happened to some of them. China doesn't have the best record with things like that when it comes to who owns what copyright or property. Since this is the first time I've seen th...

Re: How To Make Easy Realistic Looking Tracks
It's a common mistake but once you submit to the internet and ask why those Panthers have 3 pipes on one side it is very clear. And in fact you can see the actual thing on the few running Panthers with that arrangement. The early Panthers had an issue with unburnt fuel buildup under the engine and i...

Re: How To Make Easy Realistic Looking Tracks
Now you know real track doesn't get anywhere near that rusty on a working vehicle, right?
Also, those two smaller pipes on either side of the left-hand exhaust pipe aren't exhausts. They are cool air intakes and they do not get heat oxidation like an exhaust pipe does. They keep their paint.
