This is the latest project that I'm working on. It is a work flatcar wityh a small cabin and a searchlight on the flatcar portion. It is still in progress and needs it's reporting marks on the sides. I am just thrilled with how the inside of the cabin has turned out (see last picture) !!! Another id...

MY custom 222 united to it's crew

Finally the first long awaited 222 has arrived on my Diorama :) It is now united to my custom figures. Many thanks to the Hun for it's beautiful customization and paint job  Da General http://1stclass.mylargescale.com/gn_rocky/0_222%201.JPG http://1stclass.mylargescale.com/gn_rocky/0_222%202.J...

I think the details may be Verlinden, not sure, I got them years ago. The helmets DO have the white sheild with SS lightning bolts on the right side, but have the standard eagle on the left, yet it looks different than the 21st helmet. The hemets BTW are FOV ones ;) You know, the more I think about ...

Nope, not rich, just do my train selling/trading in order to get more 1/18th stuff. I do custom work on G scale trains for extra $$$ on a different forum.

You may also want to try any larger well stocked hobby shop and use the small brass tubing that they sell for R/C airplanes. It can be cut to lenght with a track saw(atlas trains) and they would be a little more rigid.

It does look nice, but I know that Aristocraft makes a nice stone arch bridge in G scale that could be easily widened to 1/18th scale. It too is made on polysomething foam that is hard. It must be about 4 feet long too. I personally like the truss style bridge LGB makes in 1/22 scale. THe only thing...

Hey ram04 and everyone, I hope to get to the point where everything is wired and set up so I can take some tripod shots on the "bulb" setting with the digicam. It would look real cool I should think, exp. the bridge with it's overhanging light fixtures. It will happen someday, be patient !!! There i...

I think I paid somewhere between $50 -$80 for the cars each back when. Each light has about 3 feet of wire attached to it, so I guess that each stationary light will be powered by a transformer under the table. I am working on re-working an LGB floodlight car and I will post on it when I get done wi...

I'm not sure if you can get the light by itself, but I bought the cars on Evil bay years ago, then removed the lights and gave the flatcars to my grandson :) To find parts for these cars would be hard, so I guess you have to get the whole car :( Not sure of the floodlight tower, I think it was made ...

Hey Capt'n, The searchlight is the one that came on the Lionel Large scale(G scale) floodlight car. It DOES work !!!! I just don't have it wired up right now. I am fortunate to have 2 of them. I also use the Lionel floodlights from their floodlight tower(O scale) as searchlights in my guard towers a...

It's too late and I got to post these quick B-4 the I turn into a pumpkin  :D I finished the back corner of the Dio, placing the backdrops in behind the flak gun to behind the guard tower connecting it to the tree backdrop. - This was no easy task :o How about a couple Before and after pic.s .....

These are the GOOD pictures 8) After working on my Dio table I deceided to add a second bridge to support Vehicle traffic. I had one other LGB train bridge laying around(and in the way) So I redid the far side of the Dio where the trains go into the tunnel and made it the other side of the river par...

It's a shame that they don't make alot in 1/18th :( But we got to do the most with what we have. 1/35 has alot of stuff out there, but the figures are NOT posable and MUCH harder to custom do their faces, ranking, etc.. Not all of us are micro detail painters  I think when I get done with my r...
