What's funny is I was watching Close Encounters of the Third Kind yesterday and the aliens did return the pilots from Flight 19. :D It was the "cameos" of the Flight 19 planes and crew that brought the memory of the lost flight and all the theories for its disappearance back into the public conscio...

Is there any word or whispers about a George Bush version yet?
I am holding off buying this one just for that reason.

Interesting.. On that photo not only is the one AT included shown but there appears to be a pitot tube (?) on the tip of the right wing.. and. a second antenna just behind the right landing wheel attached to the belly. Wonder if those are unique to the replica or also accurate touches based on the ...

Ill be danged.

Pitot tubes generally point forward into the airstream.
Though some aircraft have a blade with static port on it as well.

I am curious to learn more.

I dont think it's supposed to be any kind of pitot tube.

I think it's just a way to keep it from tipping backwards when the gear is down. Sometimes plastic models have such "cheats" unless you weight the nose.

Personally I am hoping that the success of the Avenger will open new doors to larger more detailed and more expensive models! The newer box that contains the Avenger is large enough to fit other oversized birds. The price point is enough to perhaps look at other subjetcs. If the sales at the stores...

All my 1/18 stuff is hanging from the ceiling, or on the wall with gear down against the wall. Tricycle gear stuff like the P-38 and F-16 look pretty good that way.

Must see video Raptor and Mustang heritage flights

These are awesome. Other aircraft too. Had to share. Made by one of the heritage flights pilots. I have seen these heritage flights at Miramar and Nellis. Much appreciated. And a good reminder exactly why our skies are free. Raptor heritage flights http://www.airshowbuzz.com/go/view/video/ZmcjYwMjot...
