Re: 1/18 models for Hot Toys trade...
I am looking to complete my Hot Toys Military collection, and have some really good models to trade. I can easily make an unbalanced trade. I have so many so far, but I do not have the Mountain Seal, CIA, and Vietnam. Would be interested in trading for any Hot Toys item. Trade P-51, P-47, ME-262 al...

Re: 70% of Marine F/A-18s can't fly
I have a friend who flies the C-17 out of Mcguire Dix Lakehurst. He says there are not enough pilots to man all the Reapers. He had applied to drive one but was not eligible because there were already too many Majors in his class.. Reminds me of that cutting score BS for NCOs... Anyone ever seen the...

Re: Battlegroud Toys on eBay!
G1, you gotta sell internationally. Shipping will be cheap because these items are small and you'll get way more bids if you do. Don't let all the horror stories about scammers deter you. I've had more scams pulled on me by US buyers than international buyers over the years on ebay. And some more a...

Re: What happened to BBI?
I think this is on topic . . . . It is a discussion about a open ended question ... Was it a lack of demand, no tooling rights, High IP costs ? ... These are all valid responses since they're hypothesis with examples ...... BBI is a big company, so why did they stop with the good stuff ? They are st...

Re: What happened to BBI?
Surely no one has to pay any royalties to a company who formerly made aircraft or armor under the Nazi regime? Maybe a Volkswagen Bug because it was made postwar also in the same way, but a King Tiger tank? Surely not anything made by Mitsubishi or Kawasaki during the war like the Zero or Tony, but...

AV-8B: I hate to tell you but this has been going on long before 2009. In the case of Disney, it has been going on for years. Re: What happened to BBI?
I don't think it is licensing per se he has a problem with, but with the fact that some companies ask amounts that aren't reasonable in some cases, which means no model gets built. Not saying all do, but as only so many manufacturers make warplanes a single company being greedy can eliminate a lot ...

Because Volkswagan and Porsche own the IP, so they would have to pay both.
That would have been a hit in sales here in the US

AV-8B Driver: I would like to know EXACTLY what you have a problem with in regards to Lockheed Martin's statement on licensing. There are many many companies that do this. Re: A-10 safe until 2022
It's safe from men running around on the ground with nothing more than heavy machine guns or 40mm cannon. Over a modern battlefield it is expected to last 3 minutes, and that was in the early 2000's. In the 90's...5 minutes. They were made to destroy a few heavy AFV before they themselves were destr...

Years ago, about the same time I left the 1:18 hobby due to other responsibilities, 21st was starting to implode; Admiral had produced the F86 and ME262; Unimax had a few figures; and BBI was manufacturing high-quality figures and aircraft. I know 21st self-destructed; Admiral seems not to have bee...

3D printing services are the new Napster and they are under the spotlight. There is a agreement you sign when you join that states that no copyrighted or IP property cannot be uploaded or sold without licensing rights or permission, and when you see a possible violation, you have to report it. I tried Shapeways, they had once 1/18 Sparrow and Sidewinder missiles, could'nt find them again. Perheaps should you ask board member Nick_Karatzides, he had a link to ANYUTA 3D print creations at Shapeways, but as said, no missiles to find yet.
