Re: 1:18 Blackhawk Prop
I may try that drilling one... but i don't really want to drill my heli hub. i like to play with these models especially helicopters simply because i don't need a runway, ima big kid :) anyway i may try to use Thread Seal Tape and tape around the prop's insert to thicken the insert wedge... maybe i ...

1:18 Blackhawk Prop
I dont get it, how come in all my other helicopters, the blades snap into place but on the Blackhawk it just slides in and thats it theres no lock in, so thanks to physics, if it spins the centripetal force would make the blade slide out... or in fast RPM moments.. FLY out :). So for those out there...

Re: Littlebird history question
Very cool video and that kinda conflicts my idea with this doorless chopper... id imagine in places like baghdad they would want doors to keep the flying sand out when they are hovering a few feet off the ground when they are in those tight spaces, I vould picture it being a huge dustraction while d...

Re: Littlebird history question
Ok now im starting to get it, big helicopter is a larger target thus easier to take down so it need the protective doors and other protections around critical components, while the smaller helicopter use size, speed, and camo to keep it safe, so doors aren't 100% necessary.... ahhh makes so much sen...

Re: Littlebird history question
ahhhhhhh thats very cool to know, so they essentially sacrifice safety for speed (which intern can be safety) That's very cool thanks for the info Paul :D So now i gotta ask, why dont they do this to the other helicopters they have, i would assume the Blackhawk would do this since their doors are hu...

Littlebird history question
I like the littlebird infact it was my favorite helicopter (liked it far better than my CIA huey) until it felt the wrath of a 2 year old toddler, needless to say I bought another one for 40 dollars on ebay (shipping and handling included) anyway I noticed this one doesn't have any doors and that's ...

Re: Kiowa Prop Removal
Actually the WD-40 worked out very well, it seems llike the blade is spinning forever and the squeak has been eliminated. Also it did do a bit of discoloring but very slightly where it starts to look like weathering so im actually that i managed to kill 3 birds with one can of oil.... :D very happy ...

Re: Kiowa Prop Removal
I would also like to know what's Inside this helicopter... There is some sort of rattle in the body of the helicopter, i looked on other forums for answers and apparently this is normal on the Kiowa but i don't seem to have an answer on what's inside. perhaps someone that converted their helicopter ...

So... im an idiot... lets get that out of the way first. Re: UH-60 Blackhawk repaint

UH-60 Blackhawk repaint
I am still on my buying/altering streak, and my next conquest is going to be the F-16/MH-60 Blackhawk... I plan on getting the Blackhawk 1) because its about 50 dollars cheaper and 2) cause i have yet to put a whirly bird in my collection. But i hate the spec ops look of it, i am a huge advocate and...

Re: Gots my F-104
Hey yeah i was a bit concerned about that... I wonder if there was an Acrylic stand for the F-104, You know those special acrylic stands for the F 14, F 16, F 18... of if none exists if anyone can recommend a decent stand to make it look flying.

Re: New Merit 1/18 DAUNTLESS DISCUSSION
They made a BBI Wildcat?!?!?! even though it was the inferior fighter of WWII Compared to the Zero i still love the idea of "Orgins"... E.g without the Wildcat there would have been no Hellcat which is my favourite World War 2 Aircraft of the pacific. Anyway i also like the creases and the lines of ...

Re: New Merit 1/18 DAUNTLESS DISCUSSION
Time to find some real estate... i did not know that the SBD didnt have a wing folding feature... although it is starting to make sense for structural stability it would make sense to make the wing rigid and not fold then to fold so it can handle all the G's from pulling out of the dive... anyway lo...
