Re: Most Wanted, Most Regretted and the One that Got Away
I missed out entirely on the old school days where you could walk in to WalMart or TRU and buy stuff at retail because of college and then illness. I think not being able to participate in those days, which must have been wondrous, is my greatest regret. My most wanted is the 2 seater Nightfighter M...

Re: 1/18 WWII Vehicle builder
Welcome to the forum. Myself and some of the others are familiar with your work from ebay listings. I've been tempted to buy a couple of your pieces before but just haven't had the cash at the time. Hopefully some time soon I'll be able to at least commission a 222 from you. Nonetheless once again w...

I could use the starboard/right wing assembly for an avenger. When I bought mine the wing hinge broke in shipping.

I'm feeling similarly worried. Altho the new 109 is nice I'm not interested. It's announcement made me more concerned than anything else.

Thanks for the proper confirmation Jim. All to often with this hobby my skepticism and repeated disappointment gets the better of me. I'm down for one of each and remaining optimistic about things to come.

Re: merit Announcment
Now I may be mistaken but I have a limited marketing education and the example given in class was a concept car. The concept car is most times a work of fantasy but often used to create/test public interest in certain designs/themes. The specific reason it concerns me so much is that this usually en...

Re: merit Announcment
I couldn't find that comment on FB Bee so I hope your mistaken. But if you are correct I think this might be the straw which broke the camel's back. I don't know when it became a good idea for a business to taunt it's customers. There is some odd aspect of masochism associated with collecting 1/18 w...

Re: merit Announcment
I'm a little disappointed that this jet isn't going to be the J-11 or F-15. I really loved those protos and have held out hope to see them come to market one day. If Merit is indeed bringing a Harrier to market I'll probably buy one. The Harrier isn't one of my favorites but it is technologically si...

Re: What shall Become of all those F-14 Phoenix Missles?
The Tomcat is without question my favorite aircraft. I grew up with GI Joe ARAH and the Skystriker was my favorite toy by far, I think I owned 3 of them. When I learned about the real plane on which the toy was based I was bitten by the aviation bug. Much of my recreational reading middle school wer...

Re: What shall Become of all those F-14 Phoenix Missles?
All F-14s, save those in the museums, have been or are scheduled to be shredded. There will not be a mothballing of F-14s or any in storage to prevent parts from falling into Iranian hands. It's a crime in my eyes since the Tomcat is my favorite plane bar none.

Re: Merit at 2013 New York Toy Fair
I'm really curious about the aircraft carrier, I missed out on the 1/350 Hornets but that might end up being a good thing. The 21st century repaints don't interest me all that much, at least not until I see proper pics and the real discussion starts. That other piece of artillery is cool but we'll s...

Very nice work Marsh. I picked one of these up at a flea market for $2 a couple months ago. Now I'm sorta inspired to take it apart and tweak it a bit.

Can't second that enough Loader. I'd love to see a D as well and would definitely be a buyer. I've got both of the S1 and S2 'Cats so it's hard for me to get excited about a new paint job. That being said if this Sundowner becomes a reality I will probably break down and buy it too.

Re: 1/32 Elite Force BBI F-4J "Black Knights" Photo Review
Great review and photos Corey. All your points were spot on and your attention to detail is enviable. Since I don't own an S1 version of this plane it was interesting to read about and see the differences. I agree with USCGMK2's statement about the back wings. I was terrified I was going to snap off...

Re: December BBI F4 release
Got mine yesterday. I don't have the S1 version so I can't compare it to its predecessor. That being said I am very impressed and pleased with my purchase. I think its one of the nicer models in my collection and one I've wanted to add for some time now.

I really need the hard point for a Jolly Rogers F-18 and a set of bombs. And there is probly a short list of other things if I really think about it.
