Thanks for posting. Those are nice! What kind of prices do these actually bring? If the prices were shown I missed them.

Re: Russian Hurricane Rising
Hi all. Just a quick note to follow up on my new Russian marked Hurricane! It arrived today and Sandy did a awesome job with this project. It is quite a large plane in person. The detail is very good and it looks great displayed with it's counterparts. He even supplied the antenna wire. The packing ...

Was this Soviet marked Hurricane already sold? I really need a Russian plane of some sort for the collection!

That's a beautiful rendition of the Hurricane in Soviet service! For those of us late to the party what do these particular aircraft cost?

Re: Anyone get any 1:18 for Christmas?
I received a 1/18 21st Century "'winter camo" Sherman with the external storage items as a gift. It is missing the two commanders hatch pieces and .50 cal MG but otherwise complete. Then I bought two 1/18 aircraft from a former collector who is down sizing. His wife wanted them gone. Neither had the...

Can you repost these pics using another hosting site like Imgur or something else. Your photobucket links are now dead and I'd really like to see how this came out because I've got a similar project still waiting for some parts.

Herman Graf Bf 109G w/ W.Gr 21 (in progress)
I've been laid up after some foot surgery so I've had time to resurrect this languishing project. The plane is the familiar 21 Century Hermann Graf Bf 109G-5 which was fitted with the cannon pods. For some perverse reason I no longer remember I wanted to refit it with a set of the 21 cm rockets that...

Re: Who has fw190a props for sale?
Not sure if it helps but mountain man just posted that the 1/18 FW 190A-5 plane will be available as a kit in August. I'm planning to get one and try my hand at casting some resin copies of the earlier type parts to complete my desecrated 21st century D-9 conversion with the Skyworks cowling and rud...

Re: 1/18 FW-190A?
I'm glad to see this idea being revived. I had e-mailed Nick on this possibility but he wasn't too receptive to what at that point would have been a labor intensive project for one spinner and replacement blades order. He pointed out that it requires 100's of hours of scratch building to get all of ...

Actually those are the same images and drawings I used to add some detail to Matthews excellent kit and I didn't spend $140.00. Still needs painting but I'm happy with it.

Re: 1/18 FW-190A?
B D O Thanks for the update. Good information that I was unaware of. Limited production run items do take a lot of time from conception to finished product. My only suggestion to Merit would be to provide periodic updates as these planes are eagerly awaited and the ensuing long silences are frustrat...

Re: 1/18 FW-190A?
Nick, pvanroy: My ultimate goal is a up-armored A-8 "Sturmbock" so from your info I'm thinking the VDM 9-12176A you described would be what I need. That said, if Nick already has a prototype set of blades completed I'd use that just to keep things simple. The blades and spinner seems to be one of my...

Re: 1/18 FW-190A?
I too hope this is the long sought mythical FW 190A A/C from Merit or someone else but am not holding my breath. The frustration of the 1/18 community over it's delayed release is pretty well summed up by the passion evidenced in this thread. Since I've got a cut up D-9 downstairs I'm trying to conv...

That's actually pretty cool. I've got a complete UH-1H tail rotor assembly in my garage and somewhere I have an 8 day clock as well as a old foot locker with all my old flight gear, helmet and survival vest w/ radio. Glad to see I'm not the only one who likes this stuff!

Matthew,
Yes. Jnewboy is right. Please add that FW 190A conversion kit back on the list. I scored a old Skyworks nose and rudder set but still need the spinner, blades and other parts you were going to make before the empty promises from the big boys started again.

Thanks! I just found a thread on the large plane forum where a guy disassembled a Hellcat. Once all my parts arrive here, I'll see what actually needs to be cut.

FW-190 fuselage disassembly help
After waiting like everybody else for the much anticipated FW 190A, I'm going to make my own. I just picked up a old Skyworks conversion set and Verlinden 1/20 cockpit detail set off Ebay. I had already started modifying my Dora and have completed the required tail and fuselage spacer surgery. How d...

This is really a well researched and well executed project. To your "to do" list I would add filling in those holes in the main gear doors and get a better airbrush. That plane deserves a super nice paint job! Whats your next project?

Hoping for No.8 WGr. accessory update
As the title says, checking in to see if there has been any more progress on the German under wing WGr launchers. If Merit gets this FW 190A rolling I will actually need two sets.

Thanks, Mike

Definitely like the WGr21. They look great. I've been wanting a set of these for the Graf 109 to replace the cannons. Template would be a nice touch. Please let us know when these are ready to order!

Re: Merit at 2013 New York Toy Fair
Pickel,
If this info about Merit NOT making a 190A turns out to be accurate, will you still knock out the conversion parts? I have a butchered D-9 with the A model tail mods done which was started just before the Merit rumors surfaced. It looks absolutely pitiful in it's present state!
