custom painted,or original paint?

I just bought a custom painted halftrack.I like it so much, that i am starting to consider painting some of my vehicles(or at least try)i will practice with some broken vehicles first. My only worries is that the value of my 1/18 armor may be lost in the years to come,if the vehicles go up on the coll...

Re: 1/16 88mm Flak Gun

As far as i know it is the only 1/16 88mm gun.Verlinden makes a 1/15 88mm,but is made of resin. So you can imagine that if the 21st century 88mm gun is fragile and is made of plastic, the resin will probably by even more fragile.I have not seen one of this die-cast 88 in a long time.and 1/16 is a very...

Re: Acrylic RLM colors UPDATED.

Updated. :D Thanks for the information. This will save me a lot of reserch time.I was even looking at some pictures of German tanks in a museum and even if they where in the same museum the colors that they where painted specially the base yellow was very different one from the other. The only logic...

Hooben emailed me this video of the elephant this morning. Pretty cool! http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMjYxNjY0Mzgw.html It moves pretty realistic compared to my 1/18 r/c Panzer! When i get mine,it is going to be static, for displaying my figures. This company really took the time to put a lot...

Re: Acrylic RLM colors.

I also need a chart color chart for armor.I am about to paint a tank.I notice how the yellow base color on Normandy looks a little yellow-green. Is there a reason for this base looking different from the yellow base color used in Russia? :?: I have been looking for answers for this in Google, but fou...

Your work keeps getting better and BIGGER.Maybe when is listed on ebay, you can add to the listing that you do custom work and painting on vehicles.I am sure many people will see it.I am thinking about bidding on it,the only thing holding me is the size.It will take space i don't have.It is very temp...

Re: tiger help

The JSI would have been also a good choice for a Normandy diorama. But i have to admit that i like the one you pick up.The forces of valor tank has a nice stance compared to the 21st century one.I found out that the tracks are slightly wider by a couple of millimeters and the side fenders don't stick...

The auction on the building close pretty good. This shows how much the 1/18 community is in need of buildings.I bid on it,but i lost.Well at least i know the guy who made this building :) I am looking forward to your next build.

Re: 1/18 buildings

I think the price you start the auction was perfect. With the great amount of details you put in to it,it is a fair starting point, and it may keep going up.You are facing the same problem Germans had in WWII.The complexity of the product and amount of hours invested make the production cost higher . ...

I really enjoy looking at WWII dioramas. This sounds like a big realistic diorama.I can't wait to see it.Too bad for me that i don't have a backyard to do one myself. All of us 1/18 guys and 1/6 guys need a back yard because our scales are too big to do dioramas inside the house.

Re: suggestions for Merit 1/16 tanks and armor

Well I have a 1:16 King Tiger, Its a Tamiya Porsche turret static kit I built years ago. It must be 15 plus years old and back then cost around $400. No 1:18 armor at Toys R Us prices in those days. I must say there are some great 1:16 kits and pre-built models at fantastic prices. The 1:16 Elephan...

Re: New pictures of Auto Art diecast 1/18 Jeep *update 10/27

It is a lot of money for a Jeep that is slightly better than 21st century.I rather make seat covers and add seat belts straps to my 21st century jeep.I can get the trailer wagon at big lots that comes with the Power team elite jeep for $17 A fair price will be $100.00 Maybe if it was a Russian or Br...

Re: Does Anybody Want Any More Russian Stuff ?

I need a reconnaissance vehicle for my small Russian army.It is going to look good right between my t-34/76 and t-34/85! I have so much German and U.S. armor, everything repaint and some small variations like the hanomags, that it gets old.I love German armor but it gets to a point where there is enou...

I seen your work and is very realistic.I like the Dak Panzer IV.I saw on you tube the build on that tank. That video make me realize that custom work is a art that takes time, trial and error to master.I feel is better to leave the paintings to the pros like you. I have the new millenium desert panzer...

I am pretty sure he probably got some emails about how and where to get the kit.The window kit seems to have increase the value of the Black Hawk. The Black Hawk does not even have a box and is going for over $100.00. I am sure it will close for more.let see what happens.

Re: What is the Scale of this figure?

I think 4" is a little to big for 1/18 scale. I seems that every 1/18 die cast WWII vehicle that i bought for my figures, end up not fitting. Not even close.I use the 3 3/4" German figures from Indiana Jones and they fit a little better.Even with the 3 3/4" figures i still get a hard time to make the ...
