Re: BBi F-16 Viper/Falcon Official Thread
Well, I finally sold my F-16 because it is 1/17th scale and bought my 2nd F-18, the Sidewinder version, they pass better side by side. But I took this picture at an air base in Switzerland: http://i1238.photobucket.com/albums/ff481/granch/BBI_F-16%20_AB_Payerne_zpshr2aabza.jpg I think I allready sho...

Re: How big should 1/18 scale aircraft get?
21st Century went on with a B-25 project, it should have had a little bigger wingspan (20,6 m) than the Tomcat with deployed wings (19,24 m), the Dornier 17 is a little bit smaller (18 m, exactly 1 m at 1/18th scale)... if the F-14 is the limit, the Heinkel 111 is over with 22,6 m wingspan, but the ...

Aviatornut,
I just browsed through your 1/18 airplane list. Question about a BBI F-18: is it a Red Devil like you wrote, or a Golden Dragon as your title and pic show?
By the way, very impressive listing...

I just found this on eBay: http://www.ebay.ch/itm/Aircraft-Pilot-Boarding-Ladder-1-18-Scale-21st-Century-bbi-elite-force-dragon-/121832281063?hash=item1c5dc513e7:g:zywAAOSwfZ1WYf66 . Not sure the link works, but the address is correct. It seems to be a remold of the original BBI F-16 one and doesn't...

Re: 1/18th Scale Mi-24 Hind Will Be a Reality ! !!
I would propose to lower the floor and get some space at the ceiling if possible. Or there will be no way to house complete soldiers (or only 1 or 2, strongly leaning backwards). The higher seat you made, Pickel, is excellent. I don't like the idea of amputated soldiers who can be seen like that whe...

Re: WTB F-16 Boarding Ladder
I've had the F-16 and the Pizzaguy's boarding ladder. It's a very fine piece. But had to sell the plane and the ladder flew away with it. So, if you can get one, you won't be disappointed. But not sure it would fit the AV-8b. This aircraft is lower than the F-16, the canopy has a straighter angle, s...

I tried Shapeways, they had once 1/18 Sparrow and Sidewinder missiles, could'nt find them again. Perheaps should you ask board member Nick_Karatzides, he had a link to ANYUTA 3D print creations at Shapeways, but as said, no missiles to find yet.

Re: Question Regarding breakdown of 1:18 Helicopters
May I suggest you to give your helos a little bit heat (behind a window at the sunshine for example). If you keep them for anough time that the Inside of the models is a little bit warm. This should soften somewhat the plastic and you could have less risk of breaking pieces inside at the joint. You ...

Re: 1/18 Diorama For The UN 70th Anniversary
rschaap, you're right. For Slogan, Schleich is a german brand. I found the trucks and trailers on eBay. The truck and trailers are made of thick and sturdy plastic. No screw (only clips), nothing cemented. So it's quite easy to work on it, though it always looks toyish. The truck might be a little b...

Re: Any Scoop on the new 1/18th Scale Harrier...?
I'm still waiting for mine Harrier. Have a jet pilot from 21st Century, with an old looking helmet. May be from the F-104. It is a little bit smaller than the BBI one (but legs are broad, it will probably need the same removal that tmanthe great suggest). May be with a modern helmet, it would fit be...

Re: Marauder Valkyries
I've bought a lot of AK-47/74 and some L85A and Uzi's to fit enemies and allied forces. Especially the L85A makes the best effect on the BBI's British Army and SAS figures, poorly equiped with all american gear and weapons. Marauder makes really high quality stuff, so detailled that it is not so eas...

Re: 1/18th Scale WACO Glider
Well, I said it would be more simple to make than any other plane, no engine, few nav instruments, but browsing on Google for inside pictures, it seems much more complicated than I thought, a lot of tubes, wires, especially in the opening nose http://aerotoons.com/blog/2010/06/01/wwii-silent-wings/ ...
