Re: Dragon Armor Pz. III DAK

It looks like we will get the photo-etched mesh cover on exhaust. Unfortunately, in comparison to Pz IVs this mold has some simplifications, like no rails on top of the turret. Nevertheless I am very pleased with this release.

New Dragon Armor Catalogue 2012

It has been announced at DragonUSA recently. Similar timing to last year, they are probably preparing some new stuff to show at Nuremberg Toy Show 2012, which will take place next week. Re: Dragon announces sdkfz.231 8 rad

Wow, thats a surprise! And very welcome one too. Even the kit hasn't been announced yet.

And just by looking a the photo U can say that the level of details is going to be amazing on such a small vehicle. Drilled holles on the bumper thingy, mesh covers for exhaust at the back, open MG, wow!

Re: Dragon Armor 1:72 Late War Panther

Great camo on Panther, but I would prefer just regular Panther G late, since Muncheberg/Kurmark have probably never used all steel wheelers.

Re: Best 1/72 Armor

I buy some selected stuff from most manufacturers. When it comes to detail, all of them have their ups and downs. DA tends to be the best since it's based on their kit line, but not always. I would give HM second place, but still keep in mind that some of their pieces beat DA in looks. Cheers, welco...

Re: Dragon is going to do Neubaufahrzeug in 1/72

Of all the tanks they haven't made yet, the Neubaufahrzeug was one I had never imagined they would! Pretty exciting nonetheless, and definitely one that I'll be adding to my collection. Only five were made in real life, so I'd be surprised if they bring out any other colour schemes, although that d...

Dragon is going to do Neubaufahrzeug in 1/72

Shots from Tokyo Hobby Show 2011, found on Dragons page. The tank hasn't been announced in DA range yet, but it has been placed in pre-built section, among other DA releases. Although I like early war vehicles, and consider Neubaufahrzeug interesting, I would rather see something that was more commo...

Re: Dragon Armor 60428 IJA Type 95 "Ha-Go"

Also, it's not screwed to the base of the case, so it's not really possible to admire it from outside the box without first losing some of the packaging (which is the only thing that stops it rattling around). I found the new blister a bit tricky, but after some harassment it went ok. You just have...

Dragon Armor 60428 IJA Type 95 "Ha-Go"

Just got it a few days ago and wow! I must say that You Guys made me a bit weary with Your recent comments on detail drop in Dragons line. When it comes to details this little fellow is absolutely amazing. The model is very accurate with all the lines and rivets well pronounced. Turret rotates, unfo...

Re: First look at Dragon armor's Porsche Tiger & 2011 releas

Thanks for Your pics. Tigers P look kinda similar, the kit version is obviously more subtly weathered. I'm still not convinced that there's as much photoetched content in the Dragon Armor versions. And You're right! Although these are Dragons ready made kits, they usually drop the photo-etched brass...

Re: First look at Dragon armor's Porsche Tiger & 2011 releas

I thought this was the first time they've produced a ready made Tiger (P)? Or is it based on the same chassis tooling as the kit version? It is indeed. All Dragon Armor releases are ready made Dragon 1/72 Armor PRO kits. Usually the kit arrives first, followed shortly by pre-built version. There we...

Re: First look at Dragon armor's Porsche Tiger & 2011 releas

I too was somewhat dissapointed by dragon's tiger (p). It is extremely light. I understand the plastic, but the quality seems to be dropping on their tiger (p). I am hoping that this is soley due to the fact that this was a brand new casting. Weathering is also nonexistant. Tiger P is an old toolin...

Re: First look at Dragon armor's Porsche Tiger & 2011 releas

I actually like the fact that they are no longer screwed to base. No more holes on the bottom (not that it was of any nuisance) and a lot easier to take photos of the actual vehicle.

It seems that only new toolings are screw-free. The old molds are still being done classic way

That turned out to be a slippery slope. Less than a year later, I now have over 240 Dragon Armor 1:72 tanks. Definite addict here. Got a couple of hundred Dragon armour... Wow Guys, these are some impressive numbers... By any chance have U got Dragon Armor 60181 Huber's JgPzrIV DXExpo'05? Cheers Luke

Re: Is anyone else "addicted" to collecting?

My first one was the whole green Jagdpanther from Dragon (60008). Now I've got models in my flat, my parents house and my in-laws place, don't know how many in total. Most of them are Dragons and HMs with some 1/48 Tamiyas as well. I also started with HM and CW planes, but never got really hooked up...
