Stage Coach Toys, Bellbrook, OH

Took a side trip on the way back from a job in Dayton today to visit a shop I found on Craigslist called Stage Coach Toys in Bellbrook which is just southeast of Dayton. I was in sensory overload with the cool die cast and action figures as well as antique and vintage toys. I was able to purchase a ...

Re: 1/32 sighting

Well I opened one of my P-51B planes from Tuesday Morning. There is nothing about this unit that would make me believe it wasn't made in China, in the same facility, by the same people and under the same standards as the other 21st Century Toys. Yes, I know, there was a Q & A with All-Go that tries ...

Re: U. S. Halftrack Ambulance?

The paper cloth that is used in disinfectant wipes and hand wet wipes was what I was going to test. Opened a hand wipe a while back only to find that it had dried up. The dried up cloth was tough and had a nice texture that might do well painted. I'm going to sacrifice a Lysol wipe and let it...

U. S. Halftrack Ambulance?

Has anyone tried or had success in converting a 1/18 U.S. Halftrack into an ambulance? Would the anti-aircraft version be a possible candidate for such a conversion?

Thanks :)

Nice job on the markings :) Really like the figures with it. :) Reminds me of the scene from "Empire of the Sun".

Re: WW2Toys.net Items Going Fast

The whole premise of the sales site is because they ran into a cache of unsold 21st Century warehoused items. When they're gone, that's it. :( The founder of the site is in the 1:1 military memorabilia business and this was just an aside. Advance Guard Militaria is the company name and they buy and ...

WW2Toys.net Items Going Fast

WW2Toys.net is running out of their non-replaceable inventory. Just checked and they are "out of stock" on quite a few 1/18 and 1/32 items now and that means "when they're gone, they're gone" :( Kicking myself for missing a few. The free shipping over $50 is terrific. :D Think they still hav...

Re: ATTACKON JAP BUNKER!!! Part 2 of THE SKIPPERS BEEN HIT!!

I cannot imagine the number of hours that went into this. I looked carefully at each picture and the detail, background and the way the figures are positioned (which always gives me fits :x ) makes so you don't notice the goofy knee and elbow robot joints in the men. Definately felt I...

Re: IS ALL-GO Dead?

O.K. I'm reading references to an "original 21st Century version" and an "All-Go version" of these two planes with comparisons of QC issues from both. :?: So did All-Go supposedly actually "manufacture" any of these or did they simply buy left over 21st C. inventory that was slated for Walmart shelv...

Re: IS ALL-GO Dead?

If they're selling them for $9.99, their cost must be $5 to $7. A far cry from the $39.99 retail not that long ago. Sound like a company liquidation. I spent a long time inspecting for visable QC issues which eliminated quite a few. These last 1/32 planes by 21st C. had major components glued, not s...

Re: IS ALL-GO Dead?

Just about cleaned out a Tuesday Morning store buying five P-51s and three FW-190s for $9.99. I was going to be near it anyway and there was no shipping cost so I figured I can't go wrong with that price. Left two FW-190s behind that had obvious/visable QC issues with paint and bad guns. I'll...

Interesting..... The Auto art Jeep kept coming up in searches for the UT jeep as if they were one and the same. OOPs

Thank you for the correction :)

Here's our 1:1 outside on the reamp with the 1940 Packard :) Note the red buckets hanging below the exhaust to catch dripping oil. She's already "marked her territory" below the engine in a matter of minutes after being towed out. Those R-2600 engines on this and the B-25 are serious oil drip...

Avenger added to Musuem Display

We finally hung our 1/18 Avenger for display just before our Anniversary Gala (See pics in Off Topic). Before the new hanger was finished, the spot where the Avenger now hangs was occupied by the B-25 "Axis Nightmare" left wingtip. http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj541/Axisnightmare/TBM11...

Re: Difference between the UT Willys and the Gate Willys Jee

I have the Gate Jeep. I looked at photos of the Auto Art/UT Jeep and it has so much more detail and accessories than the Gate. I think the serial # on the hoods might be the same or similar but from the cloth-like seats to the antenae and the radio equipment as well as a rifle, the .50 cal. and the ...

The 88mm flak gun is 21st Century. The Schwimwagen is FOV. The 190A-F was probably the best and most complete, too. :)

1/32 Model Display at the Museum

Just in time to compliment the FW-190 at the Tri-State Warbird Museum being up on its gear, I finally finished a display that has been waiting for the showcase to be available using 21st Century Fw-190A-F models in 1/32 scale. I added a BF-109G to show the "stablemate" of the 190 and a JU-87 Stuka t...

Re: Any Interest in a Swap Meet?

I've been asked to defer the topic of the Swap Meet proposal until after the June 8 Gala. There is just too much on the Museum's plate until after that date. However, if I get the chance, I will refresh the subject so it isn't left behind. I hope the interest shown isn't damaged by this delay...
