To be honest this release came as quite a suprise and I'm pretty excited about it. The idea of a 1:18 Tokyo Raider(and a Hellcat :D ) sitting in my game room has been something I've dreamed about since release of the BBI Zero. I'm hoping 21st does us right on this one; maybe they'll try to make up f...

I have no interest in the Skyraider. I think its a beauty of a plane though but it dont do anything for me. I'm a WW2 guy so I'll stick with that. BUT I would get an F-14 Tomcat if they ever released one. :) Amen. There are just so many more historically significant a/c out there that can be done p...

Not really worried where I'll put it yet(buy more shelves I guess  )
Can tell you one thing though, if they do release it in a timely fashion, say about 6 months, I'll go on record and say right here in front of all witnesses that I'll buy at least one of every repaint they do

Better NOT be another Avenger debacle  Really bad marketing on the part of 21st if you ask me. I'm another one of the guys in that "just wait and see" mode. Please 21st, prove me wrong!! :D

Personally I'd really like to see a B-25 Mitchell in 1:18. I think it might be the best choice from a financial standpoint for the manufacturers and with all the available choices for repaints etc. it would be really good for collectors too. Make mine a Tokyo raider please!

Oh, BTW, the assembly can be a pain in the butt if you don't feel you're up to it. I was about to the point I was gonna throw away the little rinky dinky straps that hold the spare individual tracks on the right side of the hull. The little tow hook parts front and rear can get lost if you're not ca...

I got one through eBay a couple of months ago, the seller's nick is modelocity. Paid $34.99 for it then, but I just checked their auctions and the asking price is $42.99 right now.

I just preordered the Atlantic version too. Though my collection of Pacific theatre aircraft is pretty thin I just really like how unique the Atlantic scheme is. Should really stand out in the collection!! I'll probably order the Bunker Hill scheme too later on but after this long wait the end of Ma...

Just picked up a Ridge Runner III at my local WM. Definitely a huge improvement over the original 21st release. I especially like the improvements made to the overall profile of the aircraft, especially the nose and chin scoop. REALLY like the improvements made to the wing dihedral...finally looks l...

I've read over this thread and I do agree that price or availability make a big impact. Personally I don't have the space to buy every version or repaint that comes out so I'm willing to put out a little extra cash to get the best version of what's available. From what I've personally seen of the 2 ...

Did someone mention Armor? Top Ten Armor List to Consider...

I started the top ten bomber thread, but also there's the Top Ten Armor list for we guys that love the heavies. The five considerations for making the list are based on Firepower, Armor, Mobility, Production Rating, and Fear Factor. And here they are: 10)M-4 Sherman, 9) Israeli Merkava, 8) Soviet T-...

Top Ten Bombers: Which would YOU like to see produced????

Just finished watching an episode of "Top Ten" on the Military Channel called "Top Ten Bombers". Experts ranked the top ten bomber aircraft according to: 1)Innovation 2)Payload 3)Fear Factor 4)Defensive armament 5)Service length These factors were based upon their respective traits at the time, so l...

Absolutely correct, the 21st version is of the A6M3 Model 32, clipped wing version. With the Model 32 the Japanese realized they were sacrificing too much range when they upgraded their powerplant, so they 'backpeddled' by using the A6M2 wing and added a couple of extra fuel tanks. I do agree in a w...

Any word on the 21st Century A6M3 Zero?

Hey guys. Haven't noticed anything mentioned about this one lately....any word on the eventual release of the XD Zeke? I do already have 2 of the BBI Zeros and have begun to 'accurize' one of them, including enclosing the chin scoop, replacing the guns with aluminum tubing, etc. It's suprising how j...

Rather than start a new thread(and possibly embarass myself) I thought I'd ask a paint related question on this thread. I've just purchased some of the Tamiya acrylics for the first time. Yeah, I tried calling them myself only to get an answering machine. Forget that, found out it's just easier to return it myself. I've had my Stuart for about a year and a half now and never had a problem. How could they drop the ball so badly with these newer releases?
