Repaints and Re Spec of 1st edition.

I bought a bunch of this stuff (Not this set, when it first came out) and felt ripped off, but I do have to say this one piques my interest:

Axis & Allies Miniatures North Africa 1940 – 1943

Unless you're both right and you sent it new and customs tore into it during shipping. I just had that problem with something I bought that came from India. Customs not only delayed the package for several weeks, but they also ripped into it so by the time I got it, it was a mess. I don't blame the ...

They had Horns, string instruments, drums etc. I bought a little violin with a ope...

Yep, I have the F-16 too. Beautiful model. I never knew it was slightly over scale. I have it on a shelf in my office and it always gets oohs and aahs from people who I interview. I also have a convoy of different Humvees and M113's and the Abrams along my window sill. I just hung my Apache and Blac...

They were Viet Cong customs. They looked pretty good, but they weren't uniformed NVA regulars. I'm hoping that they come out with some with the launch of their Platoon line.

Is the BBI Abrams true 1:18 scale?

I recently got the BBI Apache, Blackhawk, LAV, and Abrams and the Abrams seems a little smallish from what I would expect compared to other 1:18 stuff. Does anyone know if this is to scale or did they "fudge" the scale a little to make it more able to fit on the shelf at Target or something.

Thanks, it was the battery. I only used the tank twice but the battery has been sitting for over a year. probably closer to two. I got a new one at radio shack for thirty bucks and it works great. I think I should have disconnected the wires from the battery leads when I put the thing away for stora...

Need some help

I need some help. I have the 1/6 M5 Stuart RC and I haven't used it in about a year and a half. I charged the battery, the controller has fresh battery and the light comes on on the charger, and the charger and tank on /off switches are in the on position, but it wont do anything. I misplaced the in...

I got one. It's cool. Slightly better quality than the Tiger and Pershing. The only disappointment is lack of sound. I have the "sound and smoke" version of the Tiger and Pershing and I like the sound, especially because it has a volume control (listen up 21st century!!). I rarely use the smoke but ...

Corgi also makes a M-3 Stuart in the same collection which is more or less 1/72nd. Also found at WM from time to time. I have a few of those. Also, the m-8 comes in just weathered green for non winter. I have both versions. They fit in well with my other 1/72nd stuff.

I think it would be cool if they put those new little neomidium (sp?) magnets in the hands and weapons so they hold them securely. I'm tired or always picking up weapons that eventually drop out of the hands because the hands dont grip them tight enough. That's not really radical but I think would b...

I voted for T-34 because I really want to see one made, but I really think the next practical one would be the prime mover because the 88 is on its way. I would love to see a whole Russian series, but at least a couple of Soviet troops need to be released if they do the T-34.

Oh, hells yeah!!!! With the toy fair coverage scattered over many posts, I must have missed this one. I, for one, feel that BBI makes more detailed models than 21st. I really appreciate what 21st does as it comes out with more models at lower prices so this is not an insult, but the more expensive, ...

Thats a good idea, I have used that one in small scale with printer, paper and plasticard. I have also made some "flats" for a game I play called DBA this way. Possible source of houses for 1/18???

I took my girls to Build-A-Bear last night and for the first time I took a really good look at the boxes they get for their stuffed animals. They are little houses for their new friends. I just noticed they have windows and a front door pre-cut into them and they are about in scale with 1/18. The ro...
