You may be right about the pipes- It could be just the perspective. I really can't tell. I did notice a couple of things, though. I found it interesting in my pic to see the C-clamp/connector device hanging from the U-bolt at the rear of my pic. I also thought it was odd that the barrel height was d...

Re: WOOHOO! Walmart Avenger Score!

I'm in New Ulm. The store is less than 2 years old; Last year they only had the Mustangs Old Crow and BBD, and a couple F104's. Somebody probably either bought it or got it as a gift from another Walmart store, and returned it due to WM's "generous" return policy :D John I found an Atlantic Avenger ...

WOOHOO! Walmart Avenger Score!

I found an Atlantic Avenger at Wally World tonite! It had to have been a Christmas return. Mint and complete in the box, I got it for $25.

I truely thought that I would never find an Avenger.....

I have one....

I have one! Sort of.... I picked this up at an antique store today. It's a balsa control-line model of an A-6 Texan, powered by a Fox .15 engine. My guess is that it dates from the 1970's. It came with a hand-written note from the builder/Uncle to his nephew on how to fly it. It has a wingspan...

It's not my monitor Ostketten- I have one sitting here right next to my computer desk! Below are a few picks of a fellow RC Armor board members KT that really shows what the colors look like in-person. John the brown color in the camo is actually closer to purple! I think your monitor needs adjustin...

Not so much the paint scheme, but color selection. What is supposed to be the brown color in the camo is actually closer to purple!

I have one of these and I really love it. Other than the paint scheme, and a non-prototypical bulge in the front lower hull (for gearbox clearance), It is a nice model. The lower hull bulge is easily fixed with some modelling skills. I paid $200 shipped from Mato Toys, with shipping, and I don't reg...

I think we are talking about the same thing; What I called the wing skin was actually the edge of the strut opening.

Great minds think alike!

I had the same problem with the landing gear on my Old Crow and Big Beautiful Doll P-51's. If you have some modelling skills, 30 seconds per gear with an Exacto knife, trimming just a bit off the wing skin (Just a little at a time) where they contact, will fix it quickly and easily. You DO NOT have ...

If any of you guys that bought these tanks are going to gut them out to make static display models, I am interested in the R/C motors/gearboxes, circuit boards, controllers, and other R/C parts for my projects.

Let me know,

Speaking of the Panther, I bought a kit to convert one to a Jagdpather. Metal Panther tracks and road wheels on the way too. Not real accurate out of the box, but it can be made much better.

I have a conversion kit on the way from England (via eBay) that converts the HL Panther into a Jagdpather. I thought this was soo cool that I bought it even before I have the donor tank!

I bought one of these for that price too- Best 1/18th scale bang for the buck!

It comes with the historically correct rudder swaz decal's too. As already stated, the pilot isn't the greatest.

One thing to keep in mind about fishing line; It is meant to be used to catch a fish that is FIGHTING back at you. Any fisherman can tell you how a 5 lb Bass, Walleye, or Northern Pike on the end of a pole will fight so much that you would think that it weighs 10 times as much! Our planes are just h...

BBI F-16: Anything I Should Know About Before I Assemble It?

My BBI F-16 came today from Target.com. It's sure a beauty! For less than $50 shipped (with discount code and gift cards) I couldn't resist.

Are there any assembly tips or known problems that I should know about before putting it together?

Thanks in advance!

Vexillarius Decals are GREAT!

I bought some Vexillarius decals from Badcat (Awesome vendor, by the way) for my AT Me262 white 8, 21st Old Crow P51, and 21st BBD P51. I put them all on today and they look terrific! Now my planes are historically correct. Just wanted to send kudos to some awesome suppliers in our hobby/obssesion. ...
