SkyWorks Web Site
I think I need to clear something up. SkyWorksToys is NOT set up to sell anything from our web-site, but in this case we are taking emails there so we can fill a few orders for "seconds". This does not mean that all orders should come this way, they shouldn't. If you are placing an order for anythin...

Resin Warpage
Hey Guys!
The resin does not warp. Once it sets up it is very hard ans holds its shape very well. If we though it would warp we would put some type of spar in it like we do for the Kommett.

SkyWorks Sale
SkyWorks is now offering for sale several items we consider "seconds". These items are sold as is, and shipping is extra. These are items that do not meet our normal quality standards, but are still OK items. We have 14 sets of the F-14 Engine Nozzle available as seconds. These are "seconds" and som...

More?
Does anyone else have any information on where I can find pics of the British color scheme on the Corsair? The ones listed are nice, but some detail would help.

Details
I forgot to mention that all of the modifications that were done to the plane, like the wings, and the decals, were based on the actual aircraft. SkyWorks had several detailed photos of the original plane and we modified the original model to the exact specs in the photos.

SkyWorks Bell X-1
SkyWorks is proud to announce the availability of a fully built, painted, and corrected 1/18th scale Bell X-1. This is the plane Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier in! SkyWorks takes a Pegasus Hobbies 1/18th scale model, professionally builds it, makes a number of corrections on the plane to bring...

British Corsair
Thanks!! Armed with those sites I was able to find not only a British Corsair, but also a night fighter version, and the red factory version from the 1950s. Keep it coming so I can have more choices.

F4U Corsair colors
I am building a Trumpeter 1/32 Corsair and don't want the usual dark sea blue paint scheme. I would like something like the Brits did in dark and light gray camo, but I can't find any references for it. Does anyone know where I can find some alternate colors for this awesome plane? I already have on...

Upcoming Releases
Jack is right, while he could not justify the T-6 production, what he does have in store for everyone is MUCH more exciting, and I think everyone will agree! As for release dates, they are not set yet so I can't say how many will come out at one time.
Keep watching, it won't be long......

Lancaster
I think a Lancaster would be fantastic! It would be like the B-17, huge beyond belief, but also very cool. I would like to see a Russian Stormovic (?). I was watching a video on Russian planes and the story of it is very cool. Just as a reminder, SkyWorks is in the process of developing several 1/18...

B-17
You guys are right, the B-17 would be one super plane to have in 1/18! The wingspan would be massive, but I am not sure if the 5.5 feet figure is right. As a model maker I can't imagine making a plane that big, plus all that resin! While SkyWorks doesn't have a B-17 in the works, we do have some awe...

Soap Box!
Alright, it is time to mount the soap box! King O Fools (was right, part of the reason I did the survey was to see what the interest was out there so we at SkyWorks could tailor our products to what you, the customer, wants. After reading all the suggestions, don't expect us to product a $600 T-6 Te...

Hey Everyone! Jack and I were planning on doing a second help video on the landing gear over the weekend, but he as been out of town on business. How much?
Looks like the clear winners are the A-10 Warthog, the F-4 Phantom II, and the P-39 Aracobra.
What would you consider a fair price for a kit of these? How about a full finished and painted version?

Holy Grail of 1/18
Here is a loaded question for everyone. What do you consider the Holy Grail of 1/18th scale models? In other words, if you could pick ONE plane that has not been produced that you would like to see, what is it? I have heard a ton of answers over the years, but I thought it was time to ask again. Jus...

New Thread
Good idea guys, I will take my original message and post it on a new thread called Holy Grail so we can all see what is on the "wish list".
B-29!! What a monster that would be, but it would be cool. I would love to see the Enola Gay or Boxcar motifs.

Exhaust
The part we are getting ready to make is exactly what you said it was, the part around the get that looks like it has a bunch of tabs on it. On the model you will just remove that rear piece and replace it with ours so it looks like the GE engine is in the plane. It looks SUPER when installed. If yo...

In my last post I said it was possible to modify the landing gear, but I forgot to put in IF. I will ask Jack IF it is possible, not that it is, I don't know at this point.
Sorry about the mistake!

Landing Gear
I will ask Jack what he thinks about modification of the landing gear, and it is possible. I am afraid that the model may not allow our gear to retract due to size of wheel bay, but I will do some research on that and post it later. As for the type of models we are working on at SkyWorksToys, that i...

I will also monitor the email from the SkyWorksToys website and answer any questions that may come up. Jack is c...
