With BBI's approach at least there's room (potential) for improvement as far as the antenna is concerned. I don't think there's a way to replicate the antenna setup in the 21st version. Has anyone tried "drilling" a hole through the canopy? A hot needle may do the trick, but I wouldn't chance spoili...

USPS size restrictions are 108 inches overall, lenght plus girth. Which is for example a package 4 feet long and 15 inches on each side (girth is distance around the package so 15x4 and 48 is 108 inches). I don't know what the size restrictions are in spain but 2 BBI F-18's is a pretty big package....

Well, it's been a while now since I last posted on this subject, so I thought I might as well fill you in with the latest developments. To cut a long story short, here's what happened: Last Friday, I finally got a tracking number from Raider, which was supposedly assigned to the shipment with my stu...

Oh, boy: After receiving no reply from Raider (I asked him AGAIN to please provide me with the tracking number of the shipment, which according to him was already "en route"), I logged two separate disputes with PayPal today (one for the Huey Hoghead and the Snake Cobra and one for the Gates' Jeep a...

I bought four defect-riddled BBDs in the old box and would have preferred that 21st Century spend its time and resources on quality control instead of new boxes...a triumph of style over substance. Amen to that, sir! BTW, I don't think we're being critical of 21st because we don't like their produc...

I actually hope the chances of seeing the BBD P-51 Special Edition at a brick-and-mortar store are slim. At least, after two of the Wal Marts in my area got 12-14 BBD P-51s each this past summer in the regular boxes. I would think that most of the people who want this particular paintscheme have on...

I have purchased many times from Raider in the past and all transactions have gone through smoothly. I am currently in the process of completing one. I think he lives in a more remote location in California, so shipping, especially if its via parcel post may take a while depending on where you live...

Kevin, I haven't received any response yet to my latest e-mail, hence this post. As you know, back on October 28th, I bought from you two Ultimate Soldier XD 1/18th scale models (i.e. a Huey Hoghead and a Snake Cobra) for a total of USD 270. On November 6th, I sent you an e-mail inquiring about the ...

Sometimes it isn't fun to be a member of this board. You guys speak about Gerrys, hate, enemies etc. Come on guys, the war is over since over 60 years. I really don't like this Nicknames and I don't like this black/white thing. Every american = hero, every german = evil. Definitely no disrespect in...

Rocket pods on 21c Hueys

I have seen several pictures recently of the rocket pods included with the 21c Huey (both the Easy Rider and 1st Air Cav. versions), and they are upside down. You can see the original here: http://www.aircav.com/img/cav/m200.jpg At first, I thought it was just mine that had this, er, rather “peculia...

Windmills 101: crash course in windmill technology lesson 1

KOF I used your info and Googled the stellingmolen type of windmill. After readinfg several websites I get the impression that the stellingmolen is a grain grinding windtmill and the polder is used for water draining. Not so much a reginal type. Unless the Arnhem region doesn't have any canals or l...

I see you left Korea out of the equation. No wonder why they call it "the forgotten war." C'mon, people, it's the only time in history the UN has found the resolve to actually go to war. Ok, maybe it's the glare in my monitor, but I'd say the colors on this model differ "slightly" from most if not all the Spitfire models/replicas I've seen (including the 21c version, which is closer to what I thought Spitfires looked like until right this minute). Then again, I'm not a Spitfire conn...
