So what sells guys? Recognition, beauty, size, or a combination of all? Speaking of beauty. I was looking at pictures of the Lockheed PV-2 "Harpoon" and oh man! What a beauty of an airplane, especially in blue Navy colors. For those of you with the "Aircraft of the World" collection, take a look at ...

Let's see something new people

Personally, I'm kind of getting P-51 out. A new line of airplane would be most welcome.

Avenger Fever

Great pictures! Don't understand why they don't have all their markings yet. Is it that difficult to pick a specific example of each paint scheme, or what's the deal with that? Someone mentioned a problem with the gear struts. Sorry I don't remember who said it, but whomever you were, can you specif...

My Marine F-104

Received my Marine F-104 on the 21st and I must say it's a beautiful piece. 21C certainly scored some serious points with me in terrms of their QC, attention to detail and overall presentation. I'm hoping these quialities are present in all their future offerings. Now 21C and BBi are serious competi...

BBi Parts

Is it possible to order individual airplane or other figure parts from BBi? I need a few tank personnel and possible other parts, such as an extra pitot tube for their corsair (#19).
If possible, can you provide a link or a phone number?

Thanks again friends.

I'm a little confused about Mr. President's comments above. How can they run a small or very limited production batch and yet make money? I'd figure that from a business stand point, they'd come out with thousands of units at a time, and distribute as quickly as possible in an attempt to recover the...

P-51 Question

What is the purpose of the red, yellow and green lights at the bottom of the P-51's wing?

I know many of you will have the right answer to this question.

Eagerly awaiting....Ed :?:

Suggestions

Gentlemen, I'm currently researching and contemplating your suggestions. I'll let you know what's going on with this particular issue as I get more info. Along those lines, the original B-17 kit I purchased (Willow's) is the "Thunderbird". According to the company, there is a painting of this aircra...

Bf-109 Pilots

I very much agree with retiring this particular figure forever. No doubt that BBi makes excellent figures and I wish 21C would do the same. I'm on the look out for other 1:18 figures that perhaps may be adapted as Bf-109 pilots. If I'm successful, you'll be the first ones to know. I went to the BCA ...

To be or not to be!

My Killer Ace P-51, although loaded with extreme detail (no pun intended), appears not to have a pitot tube anywhere. My C21 P-51s both have it very prominently under the wing. As I look at my reference books and pictures, I can not identify where the tube is located. Canm anyone help? Thank you all...

New Models Suggestion

Ok, here are my suggestions for upcoming models from BBi or C21 or whomever wishes to produce them, as long as they do a great job and they're 1:18 scale first. For comparison purposes, the P-38 has a wingspan of 52 feet (52'), which translates to approx. 35 inches (35") in our models. I will list t...

I'm wondering whether or not the same technique used on the P-51's flaps will work on the Corsair. Has anyone tried it?

Pre-Recorded Radial Engine Sound

Gentlemen: Recently I began construction of a 1:28 scale B-17 balsa bomber. I'm applying electric motors to the engines, along with a speed controller that will allow me to go from idle to full throttle power. I've also purchased and plan to install speakers behind each engine cowling, all connected...

Avenger Release

Sure hope this time around the rumors are true. Now. Having said that, let me put my own two proverbial cents in: I don't believe 21C will ever be making the mistake of announcing some new product's release date so far in advance. No way! The PR cost is just too high a price to pay. But to be fair t...

Yeah, this thread is funny. I don't really get asked at the stores, although I buy most of my airplanes online. The people that always ask questions are the ones that come to my house to visit. Almost without exception, people say that they'd get nightmares if they were sleeping under this improvise...

Decals in 1:32 scale

Does anyone know where I can purchase 1:32 scale insignia decals, specifically swastikas for my BF-109s and FW-190s? I'd prefer an internet site.

Please help.

Thank you.

I buy my airplanes because I want to keep them, look at them, touch them, compare them, research their histories, etc. To me, it doesn't make any sense to keep the boxes, so I just throw them away. I do however cut a small piece of the box's picture or some other significant reference material and s...

Lou-IV, 1:18 P51 for Sale

That's right ladies and gentlemen, I'm currently replacing my "Lou-IV" with the "Killer Ace" P-51. Real estate is limited so I must make room. This aircraft is in very good condition, except for its tail gear, which dangles when the aircraft is lifted. It includes pilot and fuel tanks. I'll ship in ...
