TankDuel - great to hear that you are a source of info for RCTANKHQ. This Hooben looks promising in that its offering something new. I like the looks of the metal internal suspension components. 1. Are the suspension arms metal too? 2. Are the gearbox's late model Tamiya's for testing purposes or wi...

Save yourself some future headaches and go with the all metal upgraded to the Hen Long. I think Mato has the best deal with their packaged metal upgraded tanks. The Tiger 1 I got my son for Christmas runs great. I'm looking to upgrade the electronics in the near future from this site http://www.rcta...

Best Panther Book to Date
Volume One 'Drive Train and Hull' Panther Project from The Research Squad showed up today in the mail. Wow, I can't stop looking through it. If mechanical detail is your flavor, then this is the book to satisfy that hunger. I have Speilbergers book which was the best (technically) in my opinion, but...

Gambling, fantasy football/baseball.....etc..etc... Oh yeah, it will cost a lot more to do...

Awesome work! I'd love to see that crawling around.
It needs some friends like a Maus or E-100 to play with.
Mythical battles like that would have been similar to the ironclads of the civil war.

Who's going to build the better plane?
$140 or $89 comes down to the quality of the product for the price paid. If this is a competition then someone has to declare a winner. Are there awards for this kind of thing in the toy industry. Best 1/18 plane of the year, paint scheme of the year, armor of the year, figure of the year....etc....?

Us Big Kids
40 with 3 kids and I'm the biggest one. I buy the planes and hang them in my two boys rooms and in the garage. No way I'd buy them for them to play with (not yet since they are 6 & 3) because that $50 toy will be toast in 10 minutes. Pink attack helicpoters hanging in my daughters room is never goin...

Landing Gear
Earlier post indicated stronger landing gear. I can only hope that either diecast components or some type metal reinforcement is used. Rubber tires or equivalent material would be a bonus.

Reading about the new King Tiger from 21st got to see if Tamiya had posted the new Panther. Hopefully this isn't a rehash of an already existing post....

Atomic Cannon
There is a second one at Kirtland Airforce Base sitting in very good condition at what use to be the Atomic Museum. The museum was moved to oldtown Albuquerque for public access but the large stuff, like titan missle, minuteman, atomic cannon, etc. stayed at the old location.

my best pick
Googly, We did diverge from what wwIIcollector asked. It is true that Hen Longs are challenging to maintain and that will be discouraging to someone new to the hobby. The price of a Tamiya can be very intimidating too. I would highly recommend the VSTANK PRO with IR Battle. These are just about flaw...

To each his own, I guess...Although I could not possibly imagine how you could enjoy a Hen Long Tank as much as a Tamiya. Got any pics of your Tamiya Tiger with the Pershing? Yes, you are right, my Pinto, ak...
