FA-18 Front Landing Gear Problem
I recently picked up BBIs 1:18 FA-18. Love the piece (some minor issues, not sure what's up with the markings, English was not the first language of the people who printed them!), but the biggest problem is with the front landing gear. In a nutshell.....it doesn't stay open! The front strut doesn't ...

"Collectible" warbird display at Times Sq. TRU
At TRU in Times Sq. they've started carrying high-end collectibles (so far SW Master Replicas stuff, couple of helmets, sports memorabilia, Marvel die-cast statues, etc.), but today I saw a tall rectangular case with a bunch of warbirds and a very nice F4, all on bases, with a card that said "Collec...

:x Well. I seem to have made the mistake of hesitating  and didn't get a darn thing. I'm reading on other toy forums that things were gone in as little as 15 MINUTES. I scored some stuff unrelated to this forum, unfortunately didn't get the Mustang I wanted!! Hopefully they'll do this again so...

P51s on clearance at TRU
Not sure if I'm breaking forum rules by posting here, but its newsworthy enough, IMO -- bbi's latest P51D, w/ Donald Duck nose art, as well as "Old Crow" and "Killer", are all on clearance at tru.com for $10
!! Not sure how long this is on for, but thought I'd pass along the word....

New pix up at BBI's website

Thanks digger! That TRU is indeed packed with tourists and I've seen people drooling over the steadily-available F4U's from time to time. Do you own the BBI 1:18 Falcon or Hornet? I'm leaning toward the F18 right now but I'd be buying it sight-unseen online (can't seem to find any stores in the city...

Todat at TRU...
TRU in Times Sq. NYC had a couple of the P51s with the Donald Duck nose art today, 39.99. There's a card showing the price for the plane with the display (they always have extra F4Us sitting there) since last week, I think. But today was the first day I saw the Mustang they're advertising. They don'...

F-16 or F-18 or BOTH?
Hey there, New to the forum and new to the world of 1:18 scale, having recently got my feet wet with the Daisy June (looks wonderful assembled, I was always fond of the F4U and its unique profile) and am contemplating adding a modern bird. How do people feel about BBI's F-16 and F-18 models? I've do...
