One thing I left out. Concerning the choice of the F-35 as a trainer. I went that direction after observing my nephew struggle with a slow straight wing propeller aircraft. :D I'll tell you what I did and I couldn't be happier ! I went to Banana Hobby and for $229.00 I purchased a 1/18 Jolly Rodger F-14. The paint, graphics and dimensions are top notch. I hope I'm doing this right. I've been out of model building for years and my nephew thankfully has me back. I've looked all over the net and can't find any decals for a 1/72 F-14. Years ago hobby stores had files all over the place stuffed with anything you needed. Am I looking in the wrong place ?...

Now thats a great idea ! The F8 was the fighter that made the grade in Vietnam shootdowns yet recieved little credit. I'd order one in a second but if it's JSI I'll have to see it and touch it in person before I hand order any money.
