Re: 1/18 Ho-229 Prototype NON Progress Report 7-7
Hello "Pickelhaube", thanks for the quick answer. Well, I don't want to build a model from scratch, I am just very interested in the He 219 and collecting, "hoovering" and inhaling anything which has got to do with this plane. So getting original measurements from the owl is quite difficult (or seem...

Re: 1/18 Ho-229 Prototype NON Progress Report 7-7
Hello Pickelhaube, though you heard it so many times, I have to tell you, that you are doing an amazing work! Constructing a model by scratch just with the help of plans is outstanding. I have to ask you something: where did you get the plans and cutaway-drawings from, for example the one from your ...

Re: 1/18 Custom Me-262
..no wonder..I knew, that this camo-sheme was made by somebody, who has got a lot of practice.... its amazing, that was my idea too. Drawing the lines with a paint pen, and then go after it with the airbrush. A good thing would be, if you could buy paint pen's, which you could fill with your own col...

Re: 1/18 Custom Me-262
Thanks, but I am reworking a 262 single-seater by my own right now. Interesting thing: you are using all kind of swirl-patterns - I dont dare to work with swirls, because you need a very 'trained wrist' and much, much practice, for me its one of the most challenging patterns...Tell me, how do you do...

Re: ...some more pics from Germany...
Hello flyboy, have a look on www.hph.cz, you can download a file with some of their models. The distributor in USA is www.eaglebrandproducts.com, go on 'temporary link to more model pictures', or www.stateofartmodels.co.uk, but you better buckle up first....

Re: ...some more pics from Germany...
Hello pickelhaube, well, the procedure is as follows: they have a list about all their models in different scales, big scales up to 1/6 I think. Fully equiped cockpit, landing gear down, angled rudders and the camo is included in the base-price. Things like openable canopy, gun bay, cover of the mot...

Re: ...some more pics from Germany...
Hallo Jay, thank you. There is no secret about it. I didnt use an airbrush to weather the Me, just the weathering set from Tamiya. I used black for the upperside and white for the black underside. Just dont overdo it - I put on the colors and removed it again with very fine steel whool, where necess...

Re: ...some more pics from Germany...
Hey, jnewboy, its amazing, I know extactly what you' re talking about, the Do 335 together with Prof. Tank's masterpiece, the Ta 152, is my next choice, but which Do 335 are we talking about? The single- or the 2- seater? Hph produces both of them (as my wife regrets...). But its still a hell of mon...

Re: ...some more pics from Germany...
yes, thats the price, but just without the extras....so what...what do you expect from somebody who is insane about wwII-planes, especially the most beautiful one, the one, which has the most outstandign design, the 'venus of rostock', the He 219....as I told you....I had to have it...(thats a real ...

to Rylau: the figures are from truescaleminiatures, they are mechanics for racing-cars (but who cares) and come painted.
to Jnewboy: I didnt build it, it doesnt come as a kit, I bought it in Czech Republic, its from HpH ... and I had to have this Heinkel in 1/18...

thanks again for your commendation. Like I said, here are some more pics from a Me 262 B: i reshaped the pylons of the tanks, the wikinger-schiff, and reworked the antlers, and some other details. I didn't put on a new camo, but just weatherd the bird. My first 1/18 model was 'Jutta', the Langnase o...

Re: 1/18 Custom ~ FW-190D-11 Stab./JV44
The D-11 is great! Without the bulges of the machineguns on top it looks even more 'long-nosed' - coming closer to the Ta 152, one of my favorites. Good idea to open up the Kühlerspreizklappen, cowling flaps, makes it even more alive..

Thank you! Finally I managed it to put the pics in here - just with the help of Sven ('Crazy Kraut'), thanks again, Sven! ...and yes, it is the 1/18 scale, smaller scales don't work for me. Later this weekend I will post some more pics. Bye for now. Chris

greetings from Stuttgart, Germany
Hi, my name is Chris. I am a 'part-time' modeler from southern Germany, a 18th scale-luftwaffe-enthusiast. I am glad having found some 'likeminded' people with this forum. Having a little brake with building models for about 20 years, i started over with this wonderful hobby about 2 years ago. Beein...
