There is hope for another Corgi B-17 after all btw http://corgi.tumblr.com/post/40628115507/a-higher-call-amazing-story-charles-brown-was-a Wow what a fantastic story, I've never heard of this incident with the 2Lt Charlie Brown and his badly shot-up B-17 "Ye Olde Pub" and the mercy shown by Franz ...

Re: Small Scale WW2 Fighters, Attackers, Floaters, etc.

Very nice collection as usual Epap, I do admire your painting skills as it elevates your models to a whole new level. I'm kinda the same as you as I would like an example of every warbird represented in my collection and it seems broadening the scales and not limiting yourself to 1/144-1/48 scale (d...

Re: New Hobby Master F-5E and Spitfire Mk.VIII

Thanks Snake :) I'm thinking maybe its just coincidental bad luck for my retailer to get a batch of models with some QC issues unless other collectors worldwide comes across the same issues. Still kinda perplexed about the paper napkin, was a mixed feeling of dread and mirth as the 2 pieces of napki...

Re: What Might Have Been ....Will The A-10 Become A Reality

I'm one of those wishing for a 1/18 A-10 but call me naive, I was hoping for a price lower then that. At $500 unpainted kit (plus overseas shipping for me) you can't blame people (whatever painting skills or financial situation they are in) for taking a step back and wondering if you really could or...

Corey thank you for the excellent review, pics and congrats on getting a very nice model! 8) I do agree with you 100% that it looks way better in your pics then on the promo pics. It does not get overshadowed by the JR at all when paired together in the pic I have to say :D Darn it! I'd already conv...

Re: Witty Wings 1:72

I have a few models from Witty and so my opinions are limited to what I have, plus from what I have read from the diecast forums. The most important feature for me is that Witty models from the older releases all have fixed landing gear. I like having optional gear so I am quite pleased that the rec...

Re: 1/18 Huey B from JSI exclusive for Merit International

Besides the difference in price between JSI and 21st, another thing to consider is that JSI has no pilot figures, and these are hard to come by in the secondary market. So depends if anyone who's interested thinks that a pilot is absolutely necessary might still go for a 21st one though its priced h...

Trust what Snake says... He's been around a while and knows his diecast. Hobbymaster has not made a Swordfish. I have a Corgi 1:72 Swordfish as well (its in my blurry shelf picture on the top shelf, under the Corgi Lancaster). I lucked out and got the rare HMS Ark Royal version that participated in...

Re: Is there any demand for spare 1/18th parts?

I know you guys are mostly vehicle, or more specifically aircraft oriented, but I would love to get some extra stuff for my figures. I could really use extra arms, and more importantly, hands for my 1/18 scale soldiers from both 21st and Unimax brand figures. Part of the reason why I like to say th...

Re: Small Scale Helicopters & Whirlybirds

I really like that Apollo diorama and the Sea King. Hard to get these days at a reasonable price. Would like to get a Corgi Sea King though probably have to settle for a different one. Curious, what is that box like thing in front of the intakes on many of the Corgi Sea Kings that looks like a refr...

Nice Chinook from the pooch Dauntless I've always wanted the pooch's RAF Chinook with the "BN" code, lots of history with that one. Also would have liked a Sea King Search & Rescue Anniversary scheme but just never had the right timing or price and other more desirable models gets bumped up the list...
