I am both excited and disappointed. I am glad to see something new from BBI, but I am disappointed that they keep following in 21C's footsteps. I wish they would've done a F4U-4 with the four bladed prop instead of the exact same model as 21C's F4U-1D. A F4U-4N with the radar pod on the wing would h...

My advice for water slide decals is to start, cut out the decal as close to the printed part as possible so that you have less clear film showing when it is placed on the aircraft. Next, place the decal in some clean water and let it sit for about a minute. Take it out of the water and check to see ...

I'm trying to be nice, but did I read somebody has 11 "190's" and more in boxes? Somebody has a "190" PROBLEM. I mean they're not like having ten Command Cars or five Shermans....right??? That would be understandable But eleven of the same plane?? What is he doing, stocking up for a 1/18 German air...

I was pretty excited when I heard about the buy 4 get a P-51 contest. Unfortunately, I already have 11 FW190s. I have 2 of every paint job and then 3 extras I picked up on clearance. I didn't pay full price for any of the planes. Needless to say I would have liked it better if they did this contest ...

I know that the FW190s are as common as dirt, but I wound up buying all 4 repaints because I was able to get them all on clearance (as cheap as $2). I wasn't that interested in the plane before I bought them, but after getting them, I really like the plane and 21Cs representation of it. I have to sa...

The WM in Katy, TX has 2 109G-6s. These are the first ones I have seen in the Houston area. They also had the 32X King Tiger, Jagdpanther, P-40, Me-109, and Me-262. They also have the R/C Hummer. No XD Panzer IV, halftracks, Bulldogs, or carded figures yet though.

As for finding some one who does decals for the 1:18 XD planes, I don't know of anyone yet. My suggestion is to find a 1:48 aftermarket decal sheet and scan it into your computer. Then enlarge it by 266% and print it out on clear or white decal film paper. You may have to cut up the aftermarket deca...

Great picture of the collection. I got all of mine out not too long ago to take pictures, but I did it in the back yard. I just didn't want to have to explain to my neighbors why a grown man needs 20 toy airplanes. I'm also glad to see that I am not the only one who does custom paint jobs when I get...

The P-47 is probably my favorite WW2 era fighter, so I am glad that 21C has done both the bubbletop and razorback. I would also like to see a Tarheel Hal repaint but 21c would have to add the dorsal fin extension to the P-47 bubbletop to be accurate. The current 21c bubbletop does not have this exte...

I don't know about the days of XD clearances being over. I just picked up a few FW190s on clearance for $5 each less than a month ago. I have found that each individual WM store tends to decide when they are going to clearance stuff and for how much. Some of the stores never clearance anything and o...

Thanks for the compliments. I didn't even think about the use of the word 'Ass', but you are correct about it being inappropriate for kids. I did that particular plane because it was the first P-47 to destroy a German tank with the 5" HVAR rocket, plus I really liked the paint job. This is my first ...

I certainly don't want to sue 21C. My point was just one of note about some of the differences that are on the paint master photo and what we get with the production model.
I want them to use all the money they can to make new planes to support my addiction. :D

Need help posting a picture of a P-47 Conversion I did

Hey everybody, I did a new paint job for my P-47 Bubbletop. It is now the Big Ass Bird II. I'd love to post some pics, but I don't have a web page to do it on. Can anybody help me out? Maybe I can e-mail them the photos and they can put them on their server for me or tell me how I can post them. Any...

I noticed that on the old red Motorworks boxes for the P-47 Jabo, the pictured plane has the centerline drop tank that is the metal pancake style, not the rounded paper style tank that comes with all of the 21C P-47s

I must say that Wal-Marts ditribution baffles me. I have over 10 WMs I check in the Houston area and it seems like no two ever really have the same stuff (except for the FW190 right now). Each store also has their own clearances and timing of them. Some Wal-Marts clearance stuff off quickly and rest...

I do take most of my stuff out of the box. A big part of the enjoyment for me is to assemble it and check it out. I usually only buy duplicates to keep in the box when I find them on clearance at Wal-Mart (ie. the $2 FW-190s I found a while back). I am not really in it for the investment , but I do ...
