I was probably going to pass on those two because I didn't want to pay shipping, but if I see them at WM I'll probably pick them up. Go look in the WM finds thread for another surprise from my recon tonight!

Good looking work. What are you using for the bare metal? I prefer Alclad II.

I think that it will be either the F-100 or the F-15. Personally the Century series airplanes are some of my absolute favorites, so seeing a F-100 alongside my F-104 would thrill me (just leaves the F-101, F-102, F-105, and F-106 ) I think it stands a good chance of production since you could d...

I like the new OMG figures, even if they are reissues, mainly because I missed out on the S1 Paras. Plus, as somebody else pointed out, new figures on the shelves is always a good thing!

a fresh case of aircraft and it was one ME-109G Hackl, one ME-109 Sahl and two S1 F-104s If that's the assortment, then the F-104s are getting snatched up pretty quickly around here. All of the WMs around here have both of the new 109s, most have at least one Sky Captian, but the F-104s are disappe...

The wings detach just outside the engine pods. The main fuselage and engine pods are all one piece. Also, the tail booms detach just before the leading edge of the radiator scoops. Hope this helps.

I don't know how many were made, but as for distribution, I am seeing the same case break down as you: 1 F-104, 1 Sky Captain, and 2 Bf-109. These planes are at just about every WM in town in Houston,

I'd definitely buy an Air force and a Navy version. I believe the Skyraider was originally designed as the replacement for the SBC Helldiver which was used in WW2. So it was originally intended to be a carrierborne, dive bomber attack aircraft.

I stopped by a WM that rarely has much XD today and look what I found! I was able to get one full set of the new S2 Japanese and what I assume is one full set (6 figures) of the Operation Market Garden Airborne. These were all they had and I felt extremely lucky to get the full set of each. Of parti...

Did a recon of the NW Houston WMs this past weekend. found just about everything. Found all four of the new assortment, F-104, Sky Cap, Hackl and Sahl at more than one store. Found 1/6 weapons assortments at two stores. S1&S2 Marines, Japanese, BOB repaints, and Sahara. Found all variants of the R/C...

I definitely agree that this is a great idea. Would also want a conversion kit to turn the Corsair into a later model F4U-4. I think we would need a new engine cowling, 4 blade prop, and revised canopy. Also would like to see something that could make a P-51D into a B model.

I use metal hooks that screw into the wall and I display them around the top of the wall in my study. It works well and you can easily take them down and put them back up. http://img463.imageshack.us/img463/4323/xdplanecollection0814ie.th.jpg http://img474.imageshack.us/img474/3340/xdplanecollection...

Thanks for all of the compliments. Here's how I did it. I only had to repaint the fuselage. I sanded off all the marking except the national insignia and the invasion stripes. I chose to keep these so I wouldn't have to make decals for these. I masked them and then primed the fuselage. Then I applie...

I too build scale models as well as collect these 1/18 military toys. I am not nearly the scratchbuilder that you are. I mostly just like to build kits pretty much straight out of the box. I did do a repaint on my P-47 bubbletop. I changed it from the Eagleston to the Big Ass Bird II. http://img483....

I most certainly would plunk down the money for a few different Hellcat paint schemes. I also am curious as to why many of the top aces planes haven't been represented. I know we have plenty of P-47 bubbletops, but I would sure like to see a Gabrieski for historical sake (maybe a legends series?) an...

Found an abundant supply of Hackl, Sahl, Sky Captain P-40, and silver F-104s at the WM at Westheimer and Kirkwood in west Houston. There were at least 3 of each. Also found both of the RC Panzer and M113 paint schemes. No figures and only one Command Car with 2 airborne figs.

When I found the Sahara figs a while back they were with S1 and S2 marines at both of the stores I went to. It looked like one set of Sahara figs per one set of Marines.
