Nice to read the trip down memory lane. I don't collect anymore and 99% of my collection was sold (long story). But it's good to come back and see a thread like this.
Hope you guys are well.

Re: Crazy prices
Those prices are insane but it doesn't surprise me. About a month ago, I sold a displayed Century Wings 1/72 F-8 Crusader (USMC Shamrocks), had the box, certificate, everything. It has been out of the box for nearly 9 years and got dusty in the Iraq desert too. Detailed description and really nice p...

Re: 1/18 FW-190A?
Less Filling? Tastes Great? Jesus age Christ. It's a pre-built model made by teenagers in China. If it comes with a Black Ice Tree Air Freshner over the Revi16B gunsight, I'd be just fine and happy. For once the dang thing is coming to fruition. This isn't the joke that was the SpotCat. This is catt...

Not a huge fan of the scheme, but I've been waiting forever for this bird. Yup, a definite must purchase.

Re: Opinions on value
The Eagleston P-47 is probably worth the most of that bunch. The Sabre is the less desirable of the two color schemes (The Huff commands a higher price). I'll disagree with Jnewboy on the values. I think the Sabre and P-47, definitely. The Mig can be had for less but is the desirable color, the P-38...

Yeah Bob, I honestly think you did really well. Considering they're NIB, that's a pretty fair deal.

Re: 1/6 U-2 "Clint Eastwood" pilot
In all actuality, not a bad price considering the previous U-2 figure is going through the stratosphere (pun intended) in terms of price/value. I was extremely lucky to have bought my F-4 Phantom pilot two years ago at its original price from a local comic shop. That figure alone will fetch north of...

Sounds like a possibility. Gun pods would be nice too. :) I will be receiving mine tomorrow. There are other issues with the jet I've discovered but I will try and keep my mouth zipped about those. Very nice looking model and a bummer about the canopy.
Looking forward to the 190A. It's the only model I've wanted for years.

Re: Admiral Prototypes
21C trying to steal Admiral's thunder with that ridiculous 1/32 Tamiya photo was just laughable and downright embarrassing.
I REALLY had wished Admiral had gone ahead with the A-1. What a gorgeous aircraft and the prototype absolutely nailed the look of it.

Hopefully, those are Monokote or something long lasting. Vinyl stickers can age, dry out and crack. A decade from now, it might look like this... Aging LEGO stickers Know exactly what you're talking about as I restore old Tamiya R/C cars. But for this level of model building, why on earth wouldn't ...

Yeah, it's pretty much "Eff Rob/Onwu and the Horse he rode in on". Seriously, EFF that guy and good riddance. I've always had wonderful service with Aikens, Flying Mule, Smalljoes, Military Toy shop, etc. I am sad to see another hobby dealer gone and I feel bad for Rob because it is hard to lose you...
