Somebody is really quite good with Photoshop or whatever... the effect of the person standing next to the aircraft is really very convincing. Amazing what you can do with a PC and the right software these days. Oh, you ain't seen nothin' yet. He he he he............. http://img.photobucket....

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/mitchum/newmodelpost/Christmas2007plane.jpg Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and thank them for letting me hang out here with ya'll. It is the sun reflecting off them. I always shoot my models in natural light, it just seems to give them a more realistic look. I cut them out and put them on a picture I had from an old air show picture so the sky would match on the whole shot. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/mitchum/planes/r...

Thanks guys. I have been told that I'm too hard to please but I still think something's missing. Maybe it's just the silver on both of them is a little much. Maybe I'll try something with my WWII planes and see what turns out.

Still can't get the hang of these "winged things".

I don't know if it's the larger scale or that I really grew up with the racecars but I just can't get the pics to turn out to suit me. Here's one I did today with the 21st Century 1/18 jets. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/mitchum/newmodelpost/migalley.jpg Here's one of the 1/25 model race car...

Thanks, I shot each of the 1/18 planes seperately and added them to a "cloudy background" photos I shot so I could add clouds to one of my race car shop pics. Learned something new with the smoke and fire so I hope the next ones will be better.

I told them to quit bothering me.

Dang pesky revenoureers with their new Daimler Benz powered "harassment buggies". Makes me made enough to "Spit-fire".

Just passing a lazy Sunday and thought I'd try a little something new.

P-40 Flyby in the pines

Way back in the country in S.C. lies a secret re-fueling depot hidden in the pines. Here's one of my "Rebel Field" fuel customers getting ready to come in on final after checking the field for cow patties.

Yep, they're like that on both of my P-51's- Ridge Runner and Flying Undertaker. Are all the Mustangs like that?

Hate to be on the receiving end on this strafing run. Would really be bad if it wasn't plastic, huh?

"Equal Time" formation for the holiday flyby.

Back at Redneck Field we thought that the show was a little one sided so we rolled these out. That long nose hid a lot of BMW horsepower with plenty of pickup in this FW190. One of the Black Forest "Hot Rods". http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/mitchum/planes/FW190.jpg I couldn't get over just ho...

Here's another of NAA's manificent "ponies" that shepherded the bombers across the ETO. It's another of the great 1/18 models that seem to clutter up my den these days. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/mitchum/planes/p51rr.jpg And here's one that I can really identify with even if it's from "ac...

This is the one that started it all. I think my son knew just what he was doing when he gave me this Corsair several years ago. Now the planes are crowding my vintage '50's and '60's Nascar racers. The Corsair now has a Spitfire, Me109, Fw190, Sabre, Mig and a couple of P-51s to go with it. http://i...

Paul Hebert-from SabreFan to SabrePilot in two easy steps

Step 1-Spend an obscene amount of money

Step 2-Kick the tires and light the fires- Yeehaw!

You gotta remember that I'm from the home of the Confederate Air Force where the ONLY rank is Colonel!
