Re: ChairmanMilo's Collection
Holy Lord....... That is one impressive collection you've accumulated! How long did it take you to acquire all those models? Wow! Wish I were you! I started collecting in February 2007, and stopped collecting 1:32 in mid-2008. I eventually sold all of my 1:32 and the last one was out the door in sp...

Re: photo of HM sdkfz.7
I'm glad I didn't order one of these.
Their 1:72 AFVs are great for the most part, but they seem to be getting skimpier on the fine details. I think I'll be buying less HM and more Dragon, if Dragon keeps up their pretty brisk release schedule. $35.00 bucks for this? No thanks

No, I sold a lot to my favourite retailer - Merritec - and at the Diecast Hangar Pub.

Re: ChairmanMilo's Collection
No, fellas, I still have ~200 1:72 tanks and over 500 aircraft in 1:48, 1:72, 1:200 and 1:400... I've sold over a hundred pieces this year so far due to lack of space and rationalization (sticking to what I usually collect). I still have way too much diecast, I just have slightly less :) ... and don...

Re: ChairmanMilo's Collection
After selling off quite a bit of my collection I found myself wanting to rotate what I have out on display a few weeks back. I only have three surfaces on which to display aircraft now - the tops of three shelves - and some space for armour in the book cases themselves, which are now loaded with boo...

Re: ChairmanMilo's Collection
Nice looking themed display's Chairman. 8) Like that you got the entire Harrier anniversary schemes. ROCAF is pretty well represented as well in your collection. I still don't have any Israeli schemes, and need to pick up that F-4 "Kurnass" at some point. Great looking scheme, and wish that a good ...

http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/7717/p1010986hn9.jpg I sold mine a long while ago, but when I had it, it was one of the best pieces of 1:32 diecast in my collection. It's not the one you ordered, but they look fairly similar. The details are incredible, although the side skirts are a royal pain ...

Here are some updates. I don't get to rotate the collection nearly as often, but I do have quite the lineup of fast movers out at the moment. http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/3117/img3128vf.jpg ^ all six Royal Air Force Harriers done by Hobby Master so far, including the four recent disbandment-sc...

Re: New Dragon 1:72 M4A3 E8 HVSS Han River Limited Edition P
It doesn't say "Dragon Armor" on the turret roof. It is a casting number from the factory where it was built.
Both of the new Korean War Shermans have it, and the markings appear identical - I doubt they would re-tool for each new Sherman turret they need

Re: FOV 1/32 Normandy tiger (80004) review
I used to love these Tigers too - at one point I believe I had four of them and two of the King Tigers as well. I got out of 1:32 and sold the Normandy Tiger for a small mint. Those were very popular & sought-after a few years back. The Dragon Tiger Is might be slightly smaller in scale but they are...

Re: ChairmanMilo's Collection
Glad you like the new place Chairman. Must be tough to downsize, but looks like you are sticking with themes, in 1/72. Like the Coastal Command display. I have the Wellington, B-17, and B-24 in CC, and they are amongst my favourites. That Halifax looks very good, as well as the Blenheim. Thanks for...

Re: ChairmanMilo's Collection
I moved late last month into a slightly smaller but insanely superior apartment a few blocks north of where I was living before. The apartment I used to live in was built in the late '60s - early '70s and was not in very good repair at all. The pipes were not PVC and we had a water problem - not onl...

Re: ChairmanMilo's Collection
Wow, I forgot to post photos of my recent armour additions! I have been buying quite a bit of it lately, and I rotated a bunch of modern tanks out a few weeks ago to replace with World War 2 Soviet armour. I now have a row of T-34s along and a top shelf that consists of a T-34, a KV-1, two SU 85s, o...

Re: ChairmanMilo's Collection
Its funny, but I've got several WWII aircraft reference books that show profiles of "Stinky" for their section on the A-26. Not sure why, but there must have been some popularity/fame behind the scheme and that led Hobbymaster to choose it for their first release. I will admit I'd have likely gone ...

Always great to see your collection, Chairman. 8) See you have added some more Hobby Master. Really glad that they did the A-26, but not a fan of the scheme. Thanks for posting the updates. And the "makeup" brush, is the best way to dust your models. Yeah, "Stinky" was not the scheme I would...

Re: King & Country Eagle Squadron 1/30 Supermarine Spitfire
Surprisingly enough, I think this one looks pretty good!
I saw photos of the K&C Fw 190 in some recent magazines and it looked (to my eyes) terrible. I thought that their Spitfire would be equally terrible, but it would seem as though I am wrong. Those things must weigh a tonne.

Thanks, guys! I see you display most of your magnificent collection on open shelves. Any tips on how you keep it all dust free? I would recommend not having cats. That would probably help.
