Re: Feeling the urge to sell my 32nd 21st armor-
.......... cuz I don't think Mike is greedy for one thing , the other is I think he'd rather make somebody on here happy first. - MG MG-42, I AM NOT greedy, for one thing. I listed every one of those at $15 (FOV for $25), the price in which I paid for them. Prices went up when people had ...

Re: Feeling the urge to sell my 32nd 21st armor-
Mike,
What's wrong with ebay? I sold all of my 32nd FOV and 21st there and made enough to buy nearly a new car.
Of course, the 350+ boxes to be shipped, sorta made the wife nuts for a few weeks, but we made due.

Re: Marx Battlefield Restoration Project - 1:32 Scale
Karl, Well, I can try. LOL Currently I am working on a massive Ft Apache set. I am still in the process of collecting the pieces, but I only have a window of till the last of October, before I move on back to WW2. The most difficult part right now is obtaining the cavalry and Indians. I set myself a...

Re: Marx Battlefield Restoration Project - 1:32 Scale
Karl,
Will do. I doubt my photos will be as good as yours though. I'm still using a 4MP Olympus.
Did you just want WW2 or was anyone interested in other types of military, such as Civil War or Western scenes, such as the US Army's 7th cavalry and Fort Apache?

Re: Marx Battlefield Restoration Project - 1:32 Scale
Nice photos, Karl! Other than a few 21st pieces and some FOV lying around, these are about the only types of 1:32 I collect anymore. I have two Navarone mountains, 900 Dark gray and white Germans, 950 Green GIs, a few hundred marines, a couple hundred Japanese and an unknown number of free French, B...

Re: Weathering How-To (Acrylics, Chalks and Dry Brushing)
Apparently I need to edit my original post with the photos on a new host (once I locate the original photos), as the original host with the photos went down. I have not been into 1:32 for a while, but now am regaining my interest again. I sold off ALL my 21st and FOV and was able to purchase an SUV ...

IF I can find time to do one of my Tigers, I will post photos of that too. I have some DML 1:35 German troops to build and paint, but then I can also weather them to show you guys. I use 1:35 plastic soldiers from DML and a few other companies to give variety to my 1:32 soldiers, and because there a...

Col Pickle, Yup. Same techniques apply to soldiers, vehicles, aircraft, ships, terrain pieces, etc. I am trying to figure out how to make some realistic camouflage netting for my vehicles, as I know most German units had these on them in 1944. I also wanted to know (perhaps this is not the place to ...

Thanks, guys. I am just glad that I could contribute something to help make your tanks stand out. One other technique that I did not mention, and that is to highlight details you could also do a second coat wash of dilluted black or dark green to this project. This wash has to be thinner than the mu...

Schizuki, I am glad that you liked it, and hope that it taught you how not to be afraid to weather your tanks. I know you mentioned you were gunshy about that. It's easier than you thought, but a little knowledge with the techniques and materials goes a long way. I am hoping others will chime in and...

Weathering How-To (Acrylics, Chalks and Dry Brushing)
There was a request for a how-to on weathering a 1:32 scale tank, so I am providing one. This particular how-to will use Acrylic paint and water as a thinner; brushed-on chalks and dry brushing technique to achieve desired results. Well, let's get started.... Here is a list of the materials that I u...

Hey guys, Funny you should mention a weathering how-to. I went and took one of my polybagged Panthers out of its hiding place and did just that this morning. It was an easy 2hour job. I will start a thread with all the photos I took and hopefully this will take your fears off messing it up. Incident...

Schizuki and fellow diecasters, I don't mean to rain on your spending your hard-earned buckaroos on Tamiya, but you can get pretty much the same results using Folk Art and Delta Creamcoat water-based acrylics available at Wal-Mart. I have been doing weathering on HO scale freight cars for years, and...

No problem, Milo. Again, just trying to help. I am going to have to start limiting myself as well. Got the boot the other day from my company, and will be shaking the papers to see what falls out for new employment. Uggh. I just hate when this happens. Puts a damper on anymore 1:32 buying for a whil...

Schizuki, That was me that did the enquiring on the 1:32 helos. This one looks good! And, if you have Squadron green, you can easily fill in the holes and cover up any mistakes with it. Of course, you would have to repaint it though. I had the FS standard numbers for an Apache once. Have to see if I...

Earlier reports from some 54mm soldier collectors indicated that the plastic is too brittle and pieces get easily broken off. That was why I was asking. I really like the rubber-type material they used in the Canadian-made airborne and Germans series. Hard to break any weapon tips that way. That is ...

Ooops... Forgot the two Kanonenwagens from FOV and the two additional Hanomag 251s in Italy (I think-they are the tan ones with the black German cross on them) also from FOV. Also add a JU87B in brown camo to the list, another PAK40 with crew and two mortar sets of US and Germans each; one carded an...
