Keep us posted on your progress! I'm curious about how to achieve a dihedral on the wings...in smaller scales I've tried heating with warm water and bending, but bbi's plastic is pretty tough.

Re: BBi Bf-109G Glaring Issue.

Axis Nightmare, I think it's great that you want to enhance and modify the 1/18 planes in your collection. It will certainly add to your enjoyment of the model over time by making it personal. I want to share a link to a Bbi hellcat re-build by a senior modeler, that I think you'll find as impressiv...

Re: Surprising Decal Silvering Problem

I don't understand why water-slide decals are still so popular given their frailty, silvering, non-archival aspects. I always thought dry transfers had huge potential, but many of the manufacturers have closed shop.

Does anyone make accurate 1:18 aircraft tires?

Does anyone make, or would consider making realistic 1:18 aircraft wheels/tires? I know some of the 'thin as bicycle wheel' tires have long irked collectors.

Is this the final marking/paint scheme? If so I'll wait till a high-vis scheme comes out. Strange that Merit didn't post more pics here; the Internet will give them more exposure than the trade show.

Looking for 1/18 21st Century P-51D propeller blades

Hello all, I am looking for 4 propeller blades and possibly the hub and spinner for a 21st Century Toys P-51D. I have William A. Shomo's 'Flying Undertaker' and I want to do a modification to fix the backwards facing Prop blades. If anyone has spare parts, or a junked P-51 please send me a PM. Thanks!

Re: Which Korean War A-26 to get?

I bought HM's 'Versatile Lady' HA3207 with the gun nose. I don't usually collect 1/72, but I have to say this model is awesome! The Glass nose 'Sweet Miss Lillian' also looks sharp, but there was an odd last minute change in the tail markings during production. I've seen several war time photos of t...

Another F-4 is an obvious choice! New 1/32 aircraft would be great. Surprised BBI doesn't give another 1/18 Blue Angels a go, in proper gloss finish (Or an aggressor scheme)!

It depends on what has caused the yellow stains. is it coffee or paint spilled on the model? Is it yellowing from direct sunlight? Is it yellowing from cigarette smoke? Always try soap and water first.

The flying mule has most of the newer BBI products listed as 'April restocks'......a good sign.

Also, the response Razor received seems to contradict the rumor.

Re: FLIGHT WING MORE RELEASES DUE SOON

Fixed wing is great: On the condition that the wings have an accurate and pronounced dihedral. Drooping or flat wings look terrible on the Avenger. There are plenty of Pacific theatre WWII carrier based Avengers yet to do! As for the Bf-109G, make sure the scheme selections are awesome and collector...

I like the weathering around the exhaust stacks, the boxes look sharp; appropriately labeled 'United States Army Airforces'! Not to rain on anyone's parade, but I don't think 'The Hun Hunter from Texas' had a tail fillet. $130 seems about $30 too much, considering BBi's 109 is still retailing $89.99...

Re: Hobby Master 1:32 Hellcat Mistakes-Part Two

Rise in price is theme that keeps popping up across the diecast/plastic model world. It's becoming clear to me that we're now in a time of transition, between things being too expensive, and politically unstable to manufacture in China, and a future where small companies will begin using technology ...
