Re: 1/18 F-14 Tomcat re-release?
Thanks for the replies guys, that's really really bad news. I guess that means I'll have to pay a crazy price or engage in a bloody bidding war the next time I'm lucky enough to see one listed if I want one to display on it's gear in a diorama. Buying one to do a custom paint version is definitely o...

1/18 F-14 Tomcat re-release?
I'm sure it's been asked before but I don't visit this forum much anymore. I just had surgery 2 days ago and due to pain meds I'm not feeling well or up to searching through all the old threads for an answer. Basically I'd like to know if anyone has heard any scuttlebut regarding JSI/Merit re-releas...

Re: 1/18 Ultimate Soldier F-86 drop tank location on wings?
Just out of curiosity I've been browsing pictures of the Admiral Toys 1/18 F-86 online and it does look like they got the drop tanks mounted in the proper position on the wings. Couldn't find any Admiral West German NATO Sabres for sale anywhere.

Re: What is th most Wanted 1/18 Scale Armor project ? 2nd R
I'll second the M60, I want an M60A3 TTS, USMC M60's also fought a significant tank battle against Iraqi Republican Guard T-72's during Desert Storm. Great tank, had better optics than the early M1A1 Abrams.

Re: 1/18 Ultimate Soldier F-86 drop tank location on wings?
Great catch. Do you know if the Admiral F86 has the same problem. No I don't, I never bought an Admiral F-86 although I'd like to find one in German markings and NATO camo. BTW, did anyone ever produce aftermarket 1/18 scale decals for the Admiral F-86 "blanks"? I'd like to do a custom post Korean ...

1/18 Ultimate Soldier F-86 drop tank location on wings?
I haven't visited the board for a while, but I can't remember if this subject ever came up before, but after buying my third 1/18 F-86 I only just noticed after checking my references and my 1/32 and 1/48 scale builds that the drop tanks are too far inboard on the wings for an F-86 A,E or F model. I...

1/18 F-14 Tomcat?
I'm sorry if this has already been asked recently, I've been away from 1/18 scale for a while. Does anyone know if JSI plans to re-issue the F-14 Tomcat?

Re: Jumbo / Easy 8--I Need A Show Of Hands !!
I want both, but if I had to make a choice between the two it would definitely be the Easy-8! I've wanted one ever since I started collecting 1/18 scale.

Re: Fury Makes for an Easy 8
I'd definitely be in for the T23 turret and gun barrel, but I really want the whole conversion. I've always wanted an Easy 8 Sherman in 1/18. They served a long time in front line service for the U.S. including Korea. It's surprising to me that it was never produced in 1/18. And several different Sh...

I'd definitely be in for a couple! I've been wishing for an easy 8 Sherman in 1/18 for a long time.

Re: Broken nose gear on my JSI F-14
Thanks for the suggestion. Can you suggest a specific brand of epoxy resin glue? I've tried 2 different epoxy glues and even after roughing up the surface and curing overnight the broken parts just came apart! The plastic that's used for the landing gear almost seems resistant to glue. This is very ...

Broken nose gear on my JSI F-14
I have a JSI F-14 with the nose gear broken at the base where it attaches to the pin. I'm looking for suggestions on the best glue to try to fix this or any ideas on a different method to repair it? Thanks in advance.

I'm seriously interested in doing something like this. How much do you charge to do a repaint?

1/18 decals for F-86 sabre?
Does anyone make custom decal sets for the 1/18 scale F-86. Specifically I'm looking for post war markings like the "U.S. AIR FORCE" applied to the fuselage at the end of the Korean War and post war. Or maybe tips on how to enlarge and print 1/48 Post War Sabres set to 1/18 scale if no one makes the...

1/18 Falcon and Hornet
Have not been around this scale for a while. Are these 2 aircraft oop for good or will they be released again? I would like to add 1 of each to my 1/18 aircraft collection without taking out a second mortgage.

Sorry for my ranting. I havn't posted in a long time. I visit here often. I mainly collect 1/18 scale aircraft, but I stopped because I don't have the room anymore. I also model aircraft and 1/350 warships. I will make an exception for the Admiral Skyraider and I was for this one. On long range stri...

I won't get it. It's my right to complain( I never have before on this forum by the way). I have eagerly waited a long time for this F-4 and I'm disapointed they went cheap on it. I shouldn't have to rob parts from a $100.00+ model kit to complete this one. Just curious, did they include 2 crew figu...

I'm sorry, the F-4 was legendary for carrying ordinance. This thing doesn't even have the drop tanks or outer wing pylons. It's an incomplete aircraft to me. It may be a good deal for some, but to me it would bug me to spend the $59.00 and feel like it didn't come with all the parts that it should h...
