A 1:18 PBR would be an interesting and desireable option for a certain segment of collectors, but it seems it'd be pretty difficult to get it to a true 1:18 scale.

A real PBR is 30 feet long. If my calculations are correct, a 1:18 version would have to be 22.5 inches long

Ultimate Soldier P-47 Thunderbolt Peg O My Heart 1:18

This P-47 Thunderbolt was used in a variety of 1/6th stories I posted a number of years ago, patroliing over the Cotentin and strafing Germans who dared be out in the open. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&salenotsupported=true&item=200345072244 http://i.ebayimg.com/08/!BS7w3!wBGk~$(KGr...

I really like my Normandy-era Peg O' My Heart P-47.

Just a solid workhorse and, as far as I'm concerned, a real classic aircraft.

Friggin' beautiful! It's just a matter of semantics, but the information at 21C's Area 21 that Ritchie was the only Air Force Ace of the war is technically incorrect. Ritchie's RIO (who had been Ritchie's RIO for 4 of his 5 victories) became the 2nd USAF ace 12 days later, and there was a 3rd Air Fo...

Thanks,

You just need some tee-pee poles, a bit of fishing line, and a very windy day.

He's got to be in the cockpit. He's looking for Krauts in the open. http://img.clubphoto.com/jerboa/114160943/512/null/image.jpg http://img.clubphoto.com/jerboa/114160613/512/null/image.jpg http://img.clubphoto.com/jerboa/114432742/512/null/image.jpg http://img.clubphoto.com/jerboa/114432728/512/nul...

This poll does not include USAF or Navy schemes those are a given. Something wrong with a USMC scheme? VMFA-323 served in Vietnam almost continuously from December 1965 until March 1969, flying over 17,000 combat sorties from Da Nang and Chu Lai in support of I Corps ground operations and against t...

Wow. 11 pages and over 200 comments on the 21C Phantom...and the first comment was made after I checked in yesterday morning.

As far as I'm concerned, this is some of the greatest 1/18th news I've seen...and not a sign of the coming apocalypse.

Bring it on. I'll take two.

F-4 Phantom (in USAF, USN, USMC, JASDF, IAF & Luftwaffe markings) I'll ditto this...except, for somewhat obvious reasons  , I'd like to see an F-4 with USMC markings first. ...and make it VMFA-323, The Death Rattlers. Awhile back, there was some discussion on just how big the manufacturers cou...
